I am home alone as my husband is away on business and my daughter won't be home till 10pm.... Would the world come to an end if I didn't make dinner and I just ate pringles?

caveat - I have already eaten half a tube (all by myself, I'm very good at eating)

I have been known to have a plate of cashew nuts and 3 types of cheese as dinner...

Maybe eat the other half as desert?

Not unreasonable at all.
I may have eaten a bag of crisps for lunch... and only that. No point in cooking for just me. (Though I usually have frozen jacket potatoes in for lunchtime - 5mins in the microwave and lunch is ready, but I ran out.)

I'm considering wine and crisps for dinner :)

It sounds like a lovely dinner to me.

oh god I would kill for wine and crisps, I am however tee total this week after showing myself up whilst under the influence last weekend and again this Blush I am also at sticking point with my weight loss plan so need to stay away from both. in the hope it kick starts the loss again and weans me away from the over indulgance of the wine! I will however strongly encourage you to Go for it!

well thanks you dearest mumnetters, you have validated my inertia. I have added to the tube of pringles, a snickers for dessert. But I am resisting the half bottle of wine left in the fridge.... so far

I'm afraid a part bottle of wine would be no more if I was around :)

No do whatever you like. I usually have steak when DH not home because he's an ex-vegetarian who will eat fish and chicken. I seldom get the chance to cook myself a nice juicy steak Grin

Enjoy your pringles. And have a glass of wine too!

I have resisted both the other half tube of pringles and the wine #feellikeIshouldgetamedalforthat

I love wine crisps and cheese for dinner! Envy as currently on diet including none of the above!

I had a huge sharing bag of crisps for lunch - I felt sick all morning (no insinuations please!) and that was all I fancied that didn't make me feel like heaving. I will have a salad for dinner as my husband will be home and I cannot confess to eating the crisps I bought for us, so will have to overcompensate and hope he doesn't get suspicious!

Yy, CoffeeTea123, definitely a Bit U to have your Pringles sans dip and wine, OP!

Good grief, what is wrong with you people?! A bag of crisps is NOT a lunch. A bag of crisps between two slices of bread OTOH ... Grin GrinGrin
