I mean how do you shut them up? This one has squeaked and whined at me from the corner of the room all afternoon and evening.
I've tried bashing it on the floor really hard and it is still going!
FFS .... just SHUT UP!!

So I threw it out on the grass just as the rain started hoping it would get soaked and "die" - but DS brought the squeaking fecker back in....

I can't even find out how to get the bastarding batteries out.... Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

There's a button under its skin on top of its head, under an embroidered bit. Press it.

You're welcome Smile

I read it and got completely the wrong idea (not helped by our hamster running around on my lap currently!) but YANBU! DD had a variety of stupid battery animals- zhu zuh hamsters, a weird rabbit thing and a supposedly lifelike poodle which mewled and cocked it's leg.

Who would invent such a hellish toy. The real ones are bad enough.

Kill it already.

We had a Dalek that shouted 'EXTERMINATE' even after we turned it off and took out the batteries.

Could hear it yelling from the wheelie bin when the poor, unsuspecting bin men took it away.

Confused

The irritating fucker is probably still making a godawful racket in landfill somewhere.

Hmm

HoneyDragon - I bet the fecker was still there squealing when the snow melted though.

And Harold - yes exactly! Fecking sadists!

And LtEve ... I tried that ... I really tried and it wouldn't work. In fact I am sure it just squealed more.... hence the smashing it on the floor.

Dd desperately wanted one a few years ago, she was easily twelve or thirteen but I bought her one as a joke present for Christmas.
Dh was clearly not amused when she run it over his head and we had cut his hair to free him from the mechanism. Me? Laughed my arse off.

Dh has since banned all hamsters, though he did allow adult ds's real one to stay for a few days on the proviso it went nowhere near his head.
