To think the School overreacted in Expelling Pupil and calling Police for a stunt,when a "bollocking would have been enough".

Jacob Dowdle, a year 13 Pupil at Altrincham Grammar school on the last day of term May 16, put a paper plate with whipped cream in to his year heads face.

This was a very "Stupid" thing to do, but no harm was meant or injury caused yet the school called the Police and summary expelled him. The teacher was seeking a prosecution for the stunt, when she was not injured The teacher although upset , should have had the grace to except that it was a poor stunt , ( or like most teachers on the last day taken it on the chin as overexcited students behaviour).

To be fair, he smacked her in the face with a paper plate covered in cream. Then ran off. The teacher reported him to the police, who got him to apologise. Job done.
Then "someone" posts the video of it up on Facebook for all to see and laugh at. The young man refuses to say who uploaded it. As a result, he was expelled, though still allowed back in for his A level exams.

If someone came up to you and smacked a pie in your face I presume you'd think it hilarious then?

That is assault and a criminal act. The fact that the school chose to throw the book at him shows they don't believe it was just a silly, badly thought out prank. It demonstrates that they believe it was malicious and no doubt their perspective comes from 7 years of knowing this boy.

OTT and deserved to be expelled. Students are officially on roll until a set date usually a couple of weeks after all exams finish.

Wonder what his past record of incidents has been like with the school, or if this was a one-off. He gets to take his exams, but not to be part of the school.

Filming it and uploading it onto the internet are massive red flags here. So an 18 year old doesn't like a particular teacher? Should he (a) assault and humiliate her, or (b) get over it and grow the fuck up?

Don't blame her in the slightest. As a teacher myself, I would find this humiliating and certainly wouldn't "take it on the chin" - would you allow it from another adult in your place of work? I don't think I personally would have called the police but I certainly wouldn't want to teach him again.

No sympathy for the boy at all. He's 18, he knew what he was doing. Utterly humiliating for the teacher.

He went way beyond normal end of term high jinks, he should be punished accordingly.

teachers have a good sense of humour usually ime but this oversteps the mark

he ran away, didn't apologise, posted the video on Facebook to big himself up or humiliate the teacher? He then refused to remove the video from facebook.
