When we split five years ago we agreed an amount for child support, he was happy so was I.
His other ex wife takes him to CSA at least three times a year, her son is now 17 and he pays her the amount the CSA tell him to straight from his wages. They do not communicate and hate each other.
My DD (6) was finally included in the CSA payments and me and other ex wife were awarded the same amount for one child each.
He always said the amount he gives me wouldn't change so I got £70 more a month (not totally fair but I'm not going to say no).
Some months he gives me my money up to two weeks late, cancels the standing order and I'm scrabbling about for money. He ignores calls, text etc and pays it to my account when he sees fit.
I've told him I'll go to CSA and get it taken from his wages and he says nothing.
So so do you think that's what he's hoping for so he pays less money every month?
Should I cut my losses and get it taken from his wages (he's a high earner) as I'd at least know I would get it and on time.
But part of me thinks I'm cutting my nose off as I do get it eventually. But the lateness does cause problems.
He has been paying me late for 6 months and messing all my bills up etc (I get money same day I'm paid from work).
