what things really really annoy you, but for no reason? Like you know it's unreasonable but you still get annoyed.

DP switching the router off at the wall pisses me off no end.

Adults sneezing. Including myself. I know its beyond unreasonable and no one want to sneeze but I can't help it, it drives me mad. In my defence, I think it annoys me most of all when I do it myself, I think its the feeling that I can't control it that annoys me. blush

Yes, loud sneezing is so annoying even though it's unavoidable.

curiousgeorgie Thu 01-May-14 14:19:40

The way DH holds a fork. It grates on me. It makes me clench my teeth... I want to reach across the table and stick it in his eye...

I love him really...

Oops grin

ShatnersBassoon Thu 01-May-14 14:21:30

People who pom-pom-pom to themselves, tunelessly, because they're frightened of silence.

fluffyraggies Thu 01-May-14 14:21:40

Getting my clothing caught on a door handle as i walk by pisses me off way more than it should! You know, when you get jolted back ... angry

TequilaMockingbirdy Thu 01-May-14 14:22:09

Whistling. I hate it.

devoniandarling Thu 01-May-14 14:22:43

Metal against metal noise. And biting cutlery.

Drives me crazy and sets me on edge.

Pobblewhohasnotoes Thu 01-May-14 14:22:59

Tourists in London. Although I don't think that's unreasonable. wink

HecatePropylaea Thu 01-May-14 14:23:05

angelos02 Thu 01-May-14 14:23:19

shatners amen to that. Some people can't sit in silence can they? not that I work with someone like this, day in, day out

lyndie Thu 01-May-14 14:24:11

Commuters parking in my street. It's free parking, so they have every right. But it's so busy you can't park in your own street! Where you actually live!

We're going to be Residents Parking later on this year, I may actually take a day off to watch commuters turning up and realising they can't park here.

PrincessBabyCat Thu 01-May-14 14:26:14

Mouth breathers.
Noisy eaters.

"That person" on the bus home in the evening that's on the phone the entire journey, having an EARBLEEDINGLY loud conversation about how Chantelle's boyfriend was caught shagging Shania etc etc. Instant rage.

I feel totally unreasonably annoyed that my 3 year old's adored best friend goes to childcare til 5pm now, and then her mum often stops at ours on her way home so they can play - its a lovely thing to do but its exactly when I need to start cooking dinner, esp as I work some evenings, and on some nights I also have to put 3 yo in the car at 5.15 to fetch my older kids from places, so the timing is terrible, and often/ always results in tantrums and me being a big meany for cutting their play short. I have told her over and over that its a bit awkward, but she just says how much the kids love each other and carrys on.

drinkingtea Thu 01-May-14 14:29:41

Oh whistling too, I agree, DD is a whistler!

ForeskinHyena Thu 01-May-14 14:30:11

Old bag, why do you use the middle two slots?! That's madness, using twice as much electricity to toast your bread just because you prefer symmetry grin

googoodolly Thu 01-May-14 14:31:20

Cutlery scraping on plates. It sets my teeth on edge. And I cannot STAND when DP doesn't put things back in the proper places. He doesn't even put it back messily or anything, but because it's not MY way, it drives me batty blush

treaclesoda Thu 01-May-14 14:31:45

You know how most people whistle through pursed lips? I used to know someone who whistled without doing that, it was just a normal mouth with lips slightly parted. It was hideous, like some sort of stealth whistling.

Pobblewhohasnotoes Thu 01-May-14 14:35:26

Toast crumbs.

Coffeethrowtrampbitch Thu 01-May-14 14:35:37

School run parents who park in my street with their engines running. Even though it is illegal under a local by-law, and a letter was sent out by the school to remind people of this. Some of them also smoke out the window, because their stationary cars aren't damaging enough kids' lungs on their own.

When I mentioned I would dearly like to connect hoses to their exhausts and feed them through the windows of their car, dh told me I was unreasonable hmm
