What are your best hangover cures?

DP is going on a stag do this weekend.
He doesn't go out too often as he works a lot, so when he does get the opportunity (like this weekend) he will enjoy a few too many drinks and be horribly hungover the following day

I was thinking of putting a hangover kit in his suitcase, paracetomol and ibuprofen are first on the list!
But I don't drink so not really sure what else to put in there

Any tips welcome!

My daughter swears by salt and vinegar discos or pickled onion monster munch plus a can of full fat coke (has to be from a can not a bottle).
personally I prefer to just drink a few soft drinks in between alcohol and try to drink a large glass of water before going to sleep. oaracetamol and water on waking

The bad head is caused by dehydration, so if he can drink some water before going to bed it helps a lot

I usually alternate water and alcohol as I'm going along and then about a pint of water before I go to bed with 2 nurofen.

I spend half the night going to the loo, but I'm usually hangover free (until about lunchtime when it creeps up on me)

Ibuprofen, fizzy pop, fried breakfast and if you're going to puke i recommend doing it on the night rather than the next morning. Also if you can get him to drink a pint of water and eating a cheese sandwich before going to sleep that will help too. Oh, and don't flollop around in bed or on the sofa when you have a hangover....you're just wallowing in it. Get up and get out....you feel much better for it.

i realise you can't pack all of that btw!

Dioralyte. Puts all the sugary salty goodness back in to your guts!

A big bottle of water for when he gets in from said night - He needs to drink it and wash down a couple of paracetmol before going to bed.

In the morning, bananna to replace the potasium and more water and he should feel right as rain.

A pint of water before you go to sleep with 2 paracetamol.
Then lots of fizzy water when you wake up.
The best is fizzy water 3/4 of the glass full and then top it up with lemonade.
I like cheese for some weird reason the next day.
M&S Manzanilla Olives and Manchego cheese if he likes that sort of thing.
Mini Cheddars also work well.
Or good old cheese on toast.

Not sure I can pack him cheese sandwiches Grin
It's a 3 day event so 2 nights of drinking involved with quad biking ect on the Saturday.
He is going to be in a sorry state, along with all the other lads

I'm just glad the stag do isn't local so I don't have to deal with him

Il have a nice Sunday roast ready for his return on Sunday, that should sort him out Wink

OP you sound like a man's dream wife! Letting him go away on a stag weekend and packing him a hangover cure. Miserable old hags here take note.

Drink a shit ton of water right before falling into bed. My cousin taught me that and it really works.

For any residual ookiness, two painkillers on waking, a shower and some food (black pudding is the beat ever for hangovers but most people can't stomach it, I swear by it though)

DP introduced me to this one it's grim but it works.

Drinking the brine from a jar of pickles.

Best hangover cure ever!

Dioralyte is a miracle cure, prevents the horrible dehydrated feeling the next morning. Also some painkillers, bottle of water and some munchies (something fatty like crisps and something sugary like sweets/chocolate) and lucuzode/fat coke for the next day.

Off you fuck, Jubelteen!

OP if there's a sauna or steam room in his hotel he should go sweat it out of him and a dip in the pool!

Yy to water and paracetamol and crisps!!!

A dirty big fry up too!

I'm sorry, I really don't mean to be sarcastic, has made me see how rotten I am to DH, he could suffer as far as I was concerned. His top tip on a boozy weekend would be a hair of the dog.
I swear by a bottle of Sunny D, a bacon and egg McMuffin and Nurofen. You need to get salt and fluid back into your system.
Adrenaline of quad biking on Saturday will cure the hangover from Friday ready to go again. I'm not sure if even your roast dinner will do the trick on Sunday though.

Mine is a full fat can (bottle doesn't work) of coke, and a packet of ready salted walkers. Water before bed is the best though.

I don't recommend paracetomol, your liver is already processing the alcohol without the added strain of that.

I use Nurofen, full fat coke and a sausage and egg macmuffin.

Plenty of sipped water too if he can keep it down.

6 packets of prawn cocktail crisps (walkers!)
3 before bed
3 when you wake up.
2 cans of coke
1 before bed
1 when you wake up
A brisk walk
A Nap

I love getting hangovers so I can justify eating 6 packs of crisps Blush
