Do you have to do it? How about a three pronged deely bopper with three crucifixes on the prongs.......

Disappointing. If it was a massive one I'd do it. It's trying to be fun, just missing a bit.

We used to have one at the old People's home I used to work at with representatives of the staff from each 'house' and other department taking part. It was great fun and the residents loved it. They can really help work moral and it's just a bit if fun! One year a team actually entered a decorated car bonnet! Grin

Well it is a bit twee and naff I suppose, but having worked in an office on the phones all day, anything that would take away from the monotony would have been very welcome!

I say do it in the spirit is is meant, as a laugh and change from the norm, you never know, you might actually enjoy yourself!

I love Easter bonnet competitions. We had them every year at the nursing home I used to work in so I'm a seasoned pro!

We've got a decorated easter egg competition at work. I've entered but not many other people have. This is a good thing as I am more likely to win. I have also won baking competitions at work for the same reason! Grin

Do a bonnet with a picture of the North Korean leader on- topical and taking the piss at the same time.

Are you in Swansea with a boss called Nev?

If it's mandatory, YANBU. If it's optional, and I'd bet you an Easter egg it is, lighten up.

Bastard employers, trying to get you to have fun and interact with each other in the office - it's absolutely unbelievable.

I organise events at work and we try to do something for everyone throughout the year. It's very hard to come up with different things year in year out so YABVU. If it's not for you then don't do it but keep your moaning to yourself.

Are you working at that call centre, the one on the TV show Grin ?

BoneyMan

Some people go to work to work Hmm, they don't want the games and suggestions from various people to get them to interact with people that they don't get on with.

"I organise events at work and we try to do something for everyone throughout the year. It's very hard to come up with different things year in year out so YABVU."

We have a group of you as well, they would get much more respect if
1/ They did their actual job before they started doing theses things.
2/ They didn't try and pressure people into doing them.
3/ They stopped moaning about how hard it is to do these things and how under appreciated they are.

And the best for last
4/ Try to force you to pay to take part in something that you don't want to take part in. (its for the prize Biscuit )

I also don't like enforced work fun. Don't do the office thing any more, but it was always a pain when it wasn't recognised that some of us had things we would rather be doing. Maybe even involving people that we didn't work with. Or even, shock horror, being outside.

and fancy dress really should stop when school finishes.

I must admit it does sound crap and it's not my cup of tea but I don't really see the problem. Just don't take part if you don't fancy .

It's a call so no doesn't surprise me, but it's a bit of fun and you don't have to do it.

Ps if you want to win incorporate the company cookouts /logo in some way.
