Well it would be weird to put the logo on the bottom really. And the chocolate flavour is stronger if the chocolate hits your tongue first because of its melting temperature.

You're supposed to eat chocolate biscuits (and eclairs) with the choc on the bottom as the choc hits your tongue, and therefore tastebuds first. Apparently this gives a better taste sensation.
Personally I don't care - I just shove them in any which way, as long as they go in.

I want a chocolate hobnob now. You could have put a warning in the title.

I only ever eat biscuits that are entirely covered in chocolate, which avoids any ethical dilemmas about biscuity orientation. Harriet's eclair advice is spot-on, though.

I've just told DP this and he's very upset because it's obviously wrong. He insists that when he eats a biscuit chocolate side down it's upside down.

I think they should do the honourable thing and just dip the whole biscuit in chocolate and prevent any more innocent people from inadvertently consuming their biscuits upside-down. In fact perhaps this needs a petition to be sent to Dave.

I'm not allowed to buy chocolate mcvities as I generally inhale them.

Duh! Isn't it obvious that the chocolate part goes tongue side down thus letting the fatty chocolate dissolve leaving a deliciously unctuous coating?

How do you people manage to ties your own shoelaces??

My colleagues and I had this debate a few years ago and we wrote to McVities asking if the chocolate was on the bottom or the top.

Sure enough they confirmed the chocolate was on the bottom.

I lost my bet Blush

I agree that fully covered choccie biscuits is the only way forward.
