Of course yanbu...unless you're a veggie ;)
I only like the crust, however!

Pork pies are horrendous. That stodgy pastry. THE JELLY confused

My brother once found a tooth in a pork pie.

As a lifelong veggie I remember a friend saying to me once " you don't know about the random TUBES then" do not eat food with random TUBES!!!

ScarletLady02 Sat 22-Mar-14 00:00:18

I'd rather eat some lentils grin

usualsuspectt Sat 22-Mar-14 00:00:56

I just smother the tubes with brown sauce.

pillowaddict Sat 22-Mar-14 00:03:20

I once knew of someone who had their pork pies spread with make it all the more healthy grin

Ewwww see I can't stand brown sauce either...I think it's because it's a generally meat based thing. Like BBQ sauce.

I love a pork pie.

DH has a business contact in Melton Mowbray, and happened to mention this random fact to him once.

The supplier now gives DH two massive Melton Mowbray pork pies every Christmas, the posh ones wrapped in waxy paper, "for the wife".

I am very happy about this, but on balance I prefer to eat it with a nice chutney.

I live near Melton Mowbray. It's all good.

I love to take the tops off put in salad cream put top back on and munch away.

But don't tell my mum she frowns at condiments

Bloody love the occasional pork pie but it has to be occasional as getting gluten free ones requires special effort and paying over the odds.

wobblyweebles Sat 22-Mar-14 00:34:11

I haven't eaten one in about 7 years and am now insanely jealous of everyone who has.

I love pork pie with HP sauce.
The family butchers where I grew up in Leeds sold award winning pork pies.......a major reason for going back.
I know someone who had a pork pie and cheese wedding cake.

I would have agreed till you mentioned the brown sauce which sounds totally grim (and I love condiments).

Back2Basics Sat 22-Mar-14 07:25:48

I love the asda ones with pickle already inside...

Cornedbeefpie Sat 22-Mar-14 07:27:43

YANBU. DH likes to spread hot English mustard inside his.

I prefer a different type of pie myself ...

PickleSarnie Sat 22-Mar-14 07:39:04

My husband loves it so much that our wedding "cake" was three layers of pork pie.

VivaLeBeaver Sat 22-Mar-14 07:53:01

I've got a big pork pie coming in the online shopping delivery today.

I've also found a jar of home made apple chutney my aunt gave me. I'm going to try them together.
