A bit embarrasing, but I'm not a troll.

I ordered from Ann Summers on Tuesday 1:15pm, selected next day guaranteed if ordered by 2pm, cost £5.95.

Wednesday, it didn't arrive.

Thursday I had friends over, but thought, it's discreetly packaged so no-one will know anyway. I'll get a postage refund when I explain it didn't arrive as stated.

All fine.

Except, delivery arrives, and the delivery driver states;

"Here's your Ann Summers order, oh yes, we know it's from Ann Summers even though people think we don't, but we know. Don't worry, we all need a bit of fun don't we, it's only human, I love stuff like that. We deliver loads of them and it's best when people are out as we can leave little notes on the delivery card about their order which is funny isn't it. We had one lady go bright red when we said it was her Ann Summers delivery. People don't realise that we know exactly where it's from.. enjoy your order (wink, wink), I think it's great, more people should get things like that".

I think I kept my poker face pretty well as I didn't want him to know I was mortified! I just said, oh right, well it's a gift anyhow.

I rang Ann Summers just now and spoke to a chap who said he will refund my delivery cost that I apid extra for, and when I said can you do anything else about the incident and he said "like what?", I said, "I'm not sure really, but your website say decreetly packaged, I had guests and I won't be wanting to order from you again, so maybe some goodwill gesture?".

He said he will contact the delivery company and speak to them and ring me back. So no doubt the driver will know I've complained, and as I run a buisness from home and have to see him every few weeks, it's going to be a bit shit.

With I'd never bloody bothered now! So annoyed! Blush

p.s I can't tell my boyfriend as it's a gift for me, not for US... Grin so I'm venting on here instead.

you got what you ordered, what sort of "goodwill gesture" do you expect?

I don't know what I want as such, their website states;

DISCREET PACKAGING & BILLING

We understand that privacy is important to Ann Summers customers. To ensure your saucy secret is kept from your neighbours, children or even parents, we use the utmost discretion in packaging your order for shipment. All orders are sent with the non-descript return address name of "Gold Group House" instead of "Ann Summers". Products are mailed in bubble-wrap envelope or a plain box (depending on the nature and/or size of your order). There's also no need to worry about your bank statement as your transaction will show as 'AS Ltd'.

This hasn't been the case for me.

I think your complaint should be to the delivery company it is their employee who was out of line.

I agree I would complain to the delivery company. He needs retraining sacking at the very least.
