I'm thinking mascara specifically at this very moment having been disappointed by the performance of my latest fail - Max Factor Excess Volume.

Any products you care to name and shame or rejoice for the ones that actually do what they claim to?!

New Avon mascara, with a paintbrush style brush. Meant to be innovative, and the first new style brush anyone has done in years. This is not true, many other cosmetic houses have tried variations, that don't stay on the shelves, cos they aren't an improvement. Neither is the new Avon brush. Conventional brush works best. Avon take note...

Mascara ads usually state 'styled with lash inserts' or similar so it's not going to be as fantastic as you might think it would be.

Saw the Avon thing and thought it looked gimmicky.

I was wondering only today about that Avon mascara Parsley. Thanks. you've answered my question (and saved me from buying it!Grin)

I was very disappointed in the much hailed Bobbi Brown concealer kit. It's too thick and cakey. I wasted my money on that.

My rejoice one though would be a recent one I saw mentioned on mn. Soap and Glory Archery eyebrow pencil and tiny is excellent.

I hope this isn't just about make up.

We spent money on a Vax vacuum cleaner some years ago. It does its job but the hose is too short and has only one extension tube. Our previous vacuum cleaner had two extension tubes and we could reach the ceiling corners with it. Our first floor ceilings are sloping and we can't reach the highest part without standing on a chair.

A home laser hair removal appliance, it was rubbish and cost a bloody fortune.

Weed killers bought on the high street, made by Bayer.

If I took, before and after pictures, I'm sure the, "after" one's would have looked greener.

Two items that didn't work for me febreze and Cillit bang. The febreze smells chemical and sicky. Cillit bang just doesn't work full stop. Never buy them again.

Those vacuum the air out storage bags. Look fab on the tv, in reality they just pack badly and lumpily, and re-inflate themselves in about ten mins. Quite expensive too, and should have gone back to Kleeneze or Bettawear, if I could have been bothered with the debate....
