No. Especially when she starts playing wretched 'Cats' tunes.

No. I wonder how many people actually do like it.

She's awful, and all name-droppery too...

Oh it's hideous. Songs from awful 'shows' that haven't been heard of since 1947...

If you want to carry out the perfect murder, shut me in a room with Elaine Page and Steve Wright. I'd expire from rage.

The laugh really grates but I do love musicals...

I love it! But then I love musical theatre.
However Elaine's laugh is appalling and the Break a leg section should be abolished.

I can't stand her, and her laugh is truly awful.

Yanbu. She really gets on my nerves. The laugh itself is reason enough to switch off never mind the awful music.
I wish they would have Michael Ball instead. He is fab.

I just had to wash up in silence because EP is on and I can't be bothered to retune the radio!

I really, really, can't stand her

Hate it. But she did start with Bad Guys from Bugsy Malone today so I'm a bit conflicted.

I like the gist of the show but she is dire and her laugh.

But what about anneka rice Saturday mornings and even sara cox sounds of 80's. They're both a bit grim. Specially anneka.

I'm with Pickofthepops. I adore show tunes and I really want to like Elaine's programme. But she's sooooooo annoying - that laugh, and the way she refers to herself as 'EP'. I can't stand it.

Now, Pick of the Pops, there's a show to love. I'm listening to it at the moment on iplayer. 1979 this week. Takes me back to listening to Capital Radio before school in the mornings.

I can't stand her goofy laugh! It's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I love Pick of the Pops too. I was listening to it yesterday.

Yes all the EP stuff is very annoying. And the break a leg section.

what do you have to do to get rid of a radio presenter!

Love musicals, hate Elaine Paige on Sunday with a passion.

Why does she never play music from the good musicals? There needs to be a Showtunes After Dark radio show, so we can have Avenue Q, RENT, Book of Mormon etc songs on.

I often listen in because I enjoy the tunes.. but Jesus that laugh is diabolical and eventually results in a change of stations chez Goosey

Her laugh (if one can call it that) is an affront to humanity. YANBU. Dreadful.

She played something from some obscure musical with her in a motorbike that shut after a week. And as for break a leg dahling...

HollyWhiteAlwaysWearsAHat · 16/03/2014 14:26

No. She is dreadful and I can't bear her. I bet she's real diva cowbag as well.

Those break a leg phone messages make me want to curl up and die of embarrassment on their behalf. All that cheesy Am-Dram panto voice projection definitely loses something in translation. Shock
