[thanks] ( sensitive) should MN change the wording to flowers

I may be the only one that thinks that the wording is wrong.

If someone post about abuse, miscarriage r baby loss and you do this thanks there is nothing to say thanks for.

Of course if you get good advice it appropriate but on sensitive issues I really don't think it's appropriate to say thanks.

I thought you could get it from flowers already?

aufaniae Sat 08-Mar-14 00:42:02

Yes you can I wrote [ flowers ] above not [ thanks ]

HadABadDay2014 Sat 08-Mar-14 00:45:39

Didn't realise.

I'm always MN on my phone, and the list below only says thanks

AgentZigzag Sat 08-Mar-14 00:47:09

Weren't the flowers because of woolly hugs and saying thank you to someone?

I know what you mean though, it's like liking a negative fb status as a show of support.

It's easy to change the meaning in your head though.

HadABadDay2014 Sat 08-Mar-14 00:47:54

Just did a screen shot

HadABadDay2014 Sat 08-Mar-14 00:48:36

Perhaps it is just my issue.

AgentZigzag Sat 08-Mar-14 00:49:07

And the context of your post should show that you don't mean thanks.

envy is usually used to mean something barftastic rather than envy.

AgentZigzag Sat 08-Mar-14 00:50:36

It's the same as my smiley list, it doesn't list the bear either.

HadABadDay2014 Sat 08-Mar-14 00:54:21

[bears] googled it lol

cafecito Sat 08-Mar-14 01:01:06

I've been insidiously petitioning for [vom] for yeeeeears

AgentZigzag Sat 08-Mar-14 01:04:08

If you have wine you have to have a [vom] emoticon, it's odd not to.

If only you were Queen of MN cafecito.

It hasn't been a sustained campaign, but has been ongoing since its inception, with variable flounce in the mid campaign lull, a good 6+ years I'd say

... I've hit a glass ceiling...

<eyes MN Towers> hmphf

cafecito Sat 08-Mar-14 02:07:52

I would not want a moving depiction; nor a pile of residual vom... merely a face depicting the oft required [bleerrhhh], like the little green dude, but with [vom] coded (and maybe bashfulness or wine stainage)

As many women in fact physiologically vom in labour and birth, and babies incessantly do this too, has mumsnet moved on from mums*? *etc
are we no longer the target demographic?

Indeed I m not certain vom could be overtly more offensive than other items - and look

. . ;;
vom vom
ALIEN/vampire REINDEER, with scope for FOX

cafecito Sat 08-Mar-14 02:08:55

^ please ignore my proposal models. They were brilliant. MN are thwarting me again. mwaahaahhaaa I'll be back

I'm not quite sure what you're on talking about cafe, but I'm sure you're right grin

I'm pretty squeamish but not about being sick or seeing someone chucking up, lots of people are though, maybe that's why HQ hasn't prised your Very Good Idea out of your hands and run with it cafe?

Some people don't even like seeing it written down, and lots don't like the word vom or barf.

I like, but never use, the word chunder, I put it on par with my affection for muppet, numpty and shreddies (for kegs).

cafecito Sun 09-Mar-14 22:13:04

I've just read my post again, and not only do I have no recollection of it, I am totally confused by REINDEER

<has stern words with self in mirror>

er, fine line.. genius and madness// etc

AgentZigzag Sun 09-Mar-14 22:57:19

Hahahaha definitely swaying towards genius cafe grin

Your day will come.

AgentZigzag Sun 09-Mar-14 23:08:43

I'm sure the alien reindeer film genre is just ripe for the taking <ker-ching>

cafecito Sun 09-Mar-14 23:23:14

or are you mad? grin

cafecito Sun 09-Mar-14 23:25:59

tim burton, pixar, Rudolph alien glowing, santa saucer, vomiting from the sky,

AgentZigzag Sun 09-Mar-14 23:35:59

And one little girl who won't get her presents delivered unless the alien cat puts a stake through the reindeer's heart - blood splattering Santa (who has never been so glad to have a red coat so it doesn't show up).
