AIBU to think that me & the hubby could do the 30 day shred together? Is it for men too? Hubby has bmi of 30 so worried about him- I just need to get toned big time- could it be a ahem fun activity?!

Yes you could it's not gender specific, I did it with my DS and we both lost weight. Good luck

A male friend of mine did it (after catching his wife doing it), he was amazed at the results in such a short space of time. He admitted to feeling robbed by his gym!

Do you need any special equipment to do this Shreddy thing?

Its a5 DVD from Amazon. Money well spent, I wish my oh would do it with me!

I am on day 2 and it is awesome!

Only kit required is the DVD (£5 from Amazon), a yoga mat or blanket and some handweights (I am using 2 Wii remotes).

The sessions are 20 minutes and intense!

My husband and I are doing the DVD at the moment, we've had to do the odd night without each other and agreed it's easier together for motivation. He is amazed by how tough it is for what he thought would be a girly DVD. He's lost weight from his stomach/love handles.
It's hard work and level 3 is brutal. But it really works and is an easy way to fit in exercise with not much time on our hands.
Plus, we also like to laugh at the Jillian-isms as we go along. "I want you to feel like you're going to DIE".

My DH is a police office so works with some very 'laddy' guys. Lots of them do the 30 day shred or insanity workouts to stay fit.

It most definitely is for men. Do it I say that not having had the guts to do it myself!

My husband tried it & didn't love it, but he did it, as do some of his colleagues. He's doing couch to 5k - he's really happy with the results & his improving level of fitness.

YANBU to think you could both do it together.

YABU to expect him to do it with you if he doesn't want to.
