Was bf my 13mo dd in a bf room at a shopping centre at the weekend. There were 2 other mums in there when a 3rd walked in with a tiny baby. She sat down opposite me & started feeding. She
looked at my dd & said "oh" in a strange tone, then asked how old she was. I told her & she said "well, I certainly
won't be abusing my son like you are - he won't be feeding off me after 6 weeks".
I was genuinely shocked & didn't know how to respond. We had already finished feeding so I just smiled, said "thanks for your opinion" and walked out.
AIBU to feel angry & disappointed at the word abusing? I am not a massive bf supporter - I do it, but I understand others can't/don't want to/have moved on. I am still aghast that she said it in a designated bf room
AIBU?
to be angry & disappointed?
