To request that everyone stop watching

the rubbish on tv so that they have to start seriously thinking about what they put on? I mean seriously how often do you have some relaxation time to watch tv and find you you end up spending more time flicking through channels with the remote and end up hardly watching anything that was worth your time?! Obviously I've resorted to mumsnet for the next 30minutes

Agreed! I don't watch any soaps at all and hope ratings fall so that Eastenders and Corrie will finally just go away and something interesting can be shown instead.

DH only tapes and views as he deems fit.

I only watch a couple of specific programmes, none of which are day time TV or soaps.

Uurrrggghhhh. We were just discussing this. If there was ever a day that the whole world has to sit and relax, this would be it.

I've resorted to mumsnet and DP is on xbox/whatever he does on his phone.

Even if i tape something so that i can have it ready for when there is nothing to watch on tv i find i shouldn't have wasted the electricity!

I think there is some OK-good stuff on at the moment

Silk - only seen episode one but looks ok
True Detective - really liking this so far
Hostages - easy watching
The Following - good story, getting a bit more complex
Salamander - liking it. Not as complex as The Bridge unfortunately though
Girls - I love/hate this
Doll & Em - 2nd episode quite funny
Line of Duty (very good)
Outnumbered (I like it!)

None of those any good for you OP?
