to wonder what a dadsnet would look like?

There are so many threads about seemingly useless husbands/dads/boyfriends. I wonder if a dadsnet would have an equal number of threads about useless wives/mothers/girlfriends.

There is a Dadsnet.....

Floggingmolly Sat 01-Mar-14 11:43:49

Wonder no more, op, it's easily accessed.

sugarandspite Sat 01-Mar-14 11:43:52

Like this perhaps?

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/dadsnet

Silvercatowner Sat 01-Mar-14 12:05:53

No, not like that at all. That's a dads forum on mums net.

Floggingmolly Sat 01-Mar-14 12:08:58

And the difference is...?

Piechomper Sat 01-Mar-14 12:11:09

"AIBU? My wife hides things. She says things are in the fridge when really they're in the fridge door. Should I LTB?"

Silvercatowner Sat 01-Mar-14 12:13:42

Lol Piechomper - yes. Flogging - there's a heap of difference between a man posting on a forum that is by definition (note the name) for women, and posting on a (hypothetical) forum set up for men.

Piechomper Sat 01-Mar-14 12:14:08

"Chat: one of the dads on the school run isn't friendly. What should I do?"
"Who gives a fuck, mate."
"Yeah you're right."

ShutTheFuckUpBarbara Sat 01-Mar-14 12:20:46

There wouldn't be one. Men talk about other stuff like football or in my dps case, toy soldiers.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss Sat 01-Mar-14 12:40:17

I agree about MN Dadsnet not being the same.
A bloke couldn't be completely bloke like here. It's too risky! I've seen them torn to shreds for even considering it!
It might be Dadsnet but there are definitely mums watching them! confused

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers Sat 01-Mar-14 12:41:59

Any more genius thread suggestions piechomper? grin

"My DW always wears inconvenient shoes when we're running late. WWYD?"

"My DW always wears inconvenient shoes when we're running late. WWYD?"

Depends how hot she is in them, mate.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers Sat 01-Mar-14 12:49:51

Hahaha. That would have been my DH asking the question although anything other than walking boots is inconvenient in his book

Theodorous Sat 01-Mar-14 12:52:02

I have a nice car - dadsnet reaction "good for you mate" instead of spewing poison and eco crap.

ilovesooty Sat 01-Mar-14 12:53:56

I went shopping with my wife. When she came out of the changing room and asked me what I thought I said she looked fine. So she got the hump and tried on 6 more outfits. What did I do wrong?

Dunno mate. Mine does the same.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers Sat 01-Mar-14 12:56:11

My DW gets annoyed when I tell her to hurry up when we're going out. I only remind her once a minute and only shouted up from downstairs so she as to switch off the hair dryer to hear me. Why does she get so annoyed?

BeverleyMoss Sat 01-Mar-14 13:00:30

On Dadsnet I could admit to driving an Audi without being called a knob.

caruthers Sat 01-Mar-14 13:01:17

I'm on a site where the majority of posters are men with a sprinkling of women and it's much more friendly than this site in as much as there are no threads generally about in laws and spouses who are bad.

In fact the topics of conversation are remarkably different.

CuttedUpPear Sat 01-Mar-14 13:05:37

"My old friends went to the pub and didn't invite me"

Dadsnet: "Go and join them"

"Ok, I will"
