To think the LA are a shower of fucking shites!

DD1 has a statement and I'm waiting for them to name her secondary school, something that they were supposed to have done by the 15th February (by law). I've been firing emails back and forth with their SEN department (have had some great advice from those on the SN board). The latest is that still haven't heard from the (special) schools they had written to and would be chasing it up early next week.

Well that's no fucking good to me is it! I need time to be able to appeal (which is obviously why they're delaying as long as possible). Everyone else in the country will find out on Monday what secondary school their child is going to and I still won't know (and I suspect it's the same for other parents of kids with SN under my LA too).

I'm already fighting a losing battle, I can't afford a solicitor so am pretty much doing this blindly (with the help of the SN board, and what advice I can get from the IPSEA website). I could just fucking scream, they're a complete bunch of bastards!

A lottery win would be really good right now!

Copy emails etc to your local MP - DO IT NOW!

Then on Monday, when you don't get confirmation, let him know.

It won't get you an answer, but it may start a ball rolling and should be useful to you if the LA get sticky.
