AIBU?

To think if I need a fanjo op I could ask them to make it a bit tighter at the same time?!

I am having incontinence investigations and they are contemplating surgery, I am thinking of mentioning that I feel wizard's sleevey a bit looser than I used to. Would this be very wrong?

Noooo. While they're down there, it'd be rude not to.

That sounds very reasonable, as they'll be in the area so to speak.

Sounds a good idea to me.

Could you tell them its interfering with your sex life as your dh says its like conducting with a pencil in the Albert Hall. Grin
Sorry, couldn't resist.

It depends on the type of incontinence surgery they are thinking of and who the surgeon is.

TVT or TOT can be done by gynae surgeon or urologist. The gynae may consider vaginal refashioning but I doubt a urologist would.

It's also a completely different procedure and unlikely to be funded on the NHS. Prolapse surgery is more likely to result in things tightening up and more likely to be under gynae, so if you need front or back repairs / sacrospinous hitch / tvt you're more likely to feel less loose post op.

No harm in asking!

Thank you, to be honest, I think it is! Dp won't say, I have put on weight so it may be that putting him off, but something feels different.

I have had previous bladder prolapse and surgery pre dd but don't believe this is the case this time. I am still under thirty if this matters.

I knew someone who had a "designer vagina" and her DH had to be measured so they didn't make her too tight!

Not very helpful, sorry, but I felt a need to tell you all.

If it's tvt you're less likely to get refashioning funded. You'd almost certainly have to have completed your family (because you don't want it all stretched out again!). However you won't know if you don't ask :)

Fated

After I posted, I realised my humour may have been a little insensitive, and apologise if I may have offended you.
Its just something that me and dh joke about and as we can I know it doesn't bother him too much.
He could just be being cautious, theres nothing more off putting or a bit restrictive than when they know we are experiencing trouble below.
Good luck with the OP, hope all goes well x Thanks

Grin when she told me I just remember thinking "but what if you break up and you meet someone else and they are much bigger??"

"Oh sorry, we can't have sex as I'm made to measure"

Oh morethan, please don't think you have offended me!

I am just well aware of my vagina and it feels very different recently!

I shall ask the consultant at my next appt-if he says no I'll just have to buy some fanjo weights and try harder!!
