We have done the parks, fed the ducks and we were supposed to be meeting a friend in a nice pub garden so we could have a small glass of wine and let the children run round and play.

But she has cancelled.

And we're bored and the sun is out.

We have exhausted the park already and the ducks werent even at the duck pond.

Do you think the ducks will be at the pub?

Yabu to let the kids run around and play in the pub...

YANBU it's just one drink, the kids will probably love the treat and you'll get to relax too. Enjoy smile.

YANBU but it depends on the type of pub and how your children will behave.

I love taking my girls to the "pub", we go to a family based/eating one, I have a small wine/cider/shandy, they have a juice, and we all relax. Go.

YANBU

The OP didn't say she was going to let her kids run around in the pub confused

Our pub garden has a huge slide, swings and a climbing frame.

Take some colouring pens and some paper and go and relax at the pub, Sunday is usually family time at most pubs that also serve food..

ShatnersBassoon Sun 23-Feb-14 15:04:16

YANBU. What could possibly be unreasonable about it?

gertiegusset Sun 23-Feb-14 15:06:19

Fs Quint, she said a nice pub GARDEN, not inside a crowded drunk house.

Yes OP you go by yourself and have a nice time.

Yanbu at all! Our pub has a small soft play and a lovely big kids park in the garden. I take them quite a bit in the week and drink coffee but I've been tempted so many times to have a wine! If I ever went on the weekend i would definitely be having a large glass!

SackAndCrack Sun 23-Feb-14 15:40:27

Oh no Id not let them inside. My eldest would be fine but the toddler wouldnt

And I asked because I worried Id look like a lush.
Im here now though, kids are happy sun shining and going home in a few minutes.

Enjoy, it sounds lovely.

I am envious because it is raining here in Scotland and I took the dog out for an hour, during which time ds2 has flooded the boys' bedroom and our bedroom because DH was busy watching football angry.

So anything with sunshine sounds good to me!

Get yerself there, forget the small glass nonsense, get a few down ya (although be mindful that if you do, somebody from mn will soon be along to remind you about the three Cs of alcoholism) confused

gertiegusset Sun 23-Feb-14 16:30:11

The three Cs of alcoholism?

Cognac, Cointreau and Cider Champagne?

SackAndCrack Sun 23-Feb-14 17:14:48

What are the three c's?
