To be on tenterhooks about horses and parking?

Ok so technically a thread about (two) threads. But come on, I can't be the only one doing a happy dance at the FYF horse eviction AND the Island-parking-bollard-installation. I think I need popcorn.

And obviously, hope both threads have happy resolutions for mrsdavid and FuckYouChris

I'm with you OP, sat in my comfy chair with a cup of tea. I'm happy that the situations will be resolved today (hopefully) but sad at the same time as the threads have been very entertaining.

Can someone summarise the horse one. I read lots of the first thread but then the op changed name and I couldn't be arsed to pick out all her posts. The next thing I knew it was on thread 3.

Penguin bollard thread

Bollard thread is, if it's possible, even better than Horse thread IMO

Horse thread: it's on the third thread and I confess I didn't make it all the way through the festival talk, but I'll post a summary and someone can correct me.

I've been avidly following both too. Agree that the horse one is good but the bollard one has the edge.

Horse thread summary: FuckYouChris has bought a house with some land attached where her puppy and DC can play and generally happiness can be had. Except that the previous owners had a horse (stallion) which they'd neglected to care for and had consequently been given to/adopted by some local people. Local people (including Unreasonable Woman and RL who I think might be Reasonable Lady) then added another horse of their own. So they then had two horses and weren't paying any fees for using the field, shed etc.

OP asked them to remove the horses, what with it being her field and all. UW was a bitch about it. Then there was a LOT of talk about holding a massive festival to persuade UW that she was in fact BU and needed to fuck the fuck off.

Eventually the OP managed to get UW, RL and whoever their co-owners might be to agree that today is eviction day. And their incompetent horse eviction attempts are now probably over as I've taken ages typing this now in progress.

Hope I didn't miss anything out!

I'm watching both too. I really do get a bee in my bonnet about people taking advantage of others so I'm hoping for a great outcome on both

Just as an aside, I wouldn't want to be moving my horse in this wind. Mine is meant to be moved on Monday and I'm rethinking that depending on the wind.

Yes, Sauvignon finally something I nominated for Classics went in!

Still waiting for update from MrsD about the parking bollards...

In the six hours I've been up I've managed to make three pots of tea and a round of sandwiches for dds and their friend who appears to have moved in for the afternoon.

And that's it.

No washing, no tidying, I have opened up a document I'm meant to be working on but not actually done anything with it.

Damn you MN!
