Hi
I'm not sure I'm posting in the right place but looking for help.

Had DS 10 months ago and I still look 2-3 months pregnant, I've lost my baby weight but have a definite bump I can't put one of my nice dresses on as I look pregnant. I've been exercising like mad pilates, core muscles but this bump isn't moving.

OH is being supportive but, and I know, i know, I know I have a lovely DS but I also don't want to look pregnant anymore. What can I do to get rid of this - I have "Bridget Jones knickers" but they "aren't my favorite pair" but to be honest that still leaves me with a bump.

Dr has said tummy tuck - I just can't see any light at the end of the tunnel I could cry.

What can I do that doesn't involve general anesthetic & small mortgage to rectify?

P

Are you actually watching what you eat........you need to do more than pilates. Is it the loose saggy wrinkly skin or is there fat under there. If there is fat under there then no, you do not need a tummy tuck! If it is just loose skin though no amount of exercise will make a difference.

Sit ups, planks, crunches will help although it is literally impossible to spot tone - if you go on a strict diet/fitness regime the fat will go from everywhere eventually.

Failing that, concrete knickers could be your friend :)

Stupid question! Are you sure your stomach muscles knitted after pg? Have you seen a physio?

You might have to accept your always going to have a pouch as I call it. Very few of the mums I know have ever gone back to a flat stomach.

Purple - it really does depend on if there is fat under there or not.......my stomach is as flat as a pancake but through a lot of blood, sweat and tears- it can be done :)

Hi
They did separate initially and I had physio and I have been advised that they have knitted back together as best as they will.

When I saw the Dr she said it wasn't fat it was muscle, it's not skin, it looks like a muffin top when sat down and when I stand it looks like DS is still in there, its a bump like pregnant.

I hope I've described it well enough
