AIBU?

AIBU to dislike burning martyr types and wish they'd SHUT UP?!

We all have them. This woman is my colleague (bully) used to be friend.

But trust me if she trots out to do something, if she has pains, SHE IS DYING. It is the worst ever.

Ranges from being jealous of client's wife's rings in meeting and sniping in a jealous manner 'oh they're BLOOD diamonds' (cos clients are south african).

she will complain about not getting a payrise, our boss etc - her Time of the Month (then bleeds all over the loo seat).

I wouldn't mind only she told me her salary (why?!) she works 4 days a week and half a day is down the pub with my boss listening to his problems (now that is a trial, my boss could bore a crocodile to death).

But the rest of it - thank the lord for what you have!

AIBU to not understand the question?

Report
Financeprincess · 10/02/2014 23:04

I don't understand the question either. Did you just come here to spout bile about your colleague, who you obviously hate?

I work with lots of people who complain about their boss and no pay rises. So what? It doesn't bother me that they do this. Live and let live. Also, she may have no realistic choice but to listen to your boss moaning in the pub.

Incidentally, try not to throw the word "bully" around. It cheapens it. The behaviour you have described might be annoying but it's not bullying. Don't belittle the experiences of people who have really been bullied.

Finance - STFU and I've reported your post.

How DARE you say I am not being bullied?!

I came here for a light hearted rant not to have some idiot shoot this down. How FUCKING dare you.

Finance - if you READ my posts in employment section you will see I HAVE been bullied, had therapy for it.

Most people are sympathetic to this. From your post it would suggest either you're a bully (with a guilt complex?) or you've been bullied but not able to cope with it.

what do you call a colleague who in next room berates you (me) by shouting/raising voice for taking time off, my work etc to my boss? (with glass door open so I can hear). who tells a colleague nasty things about me knowing they'll get back to me. who tries to thwart me when it comes to booking/taking holiday.

Well to be fair the examples you have given do not on paper demonstrate bullying and tone/nuance tricky to convey on a talk board.

Ah X posts; you have made an assumption that we are all au fait with your work situation. Fraid not. Sounds dreadful.

I'll scurry back to the employment section.

OP I was bullied at work, you have my sympathies - it's all sorted now and was a horrendous time. But I am so much stronger now and won't take even the tiniest hint of shit from anyone. I hope you have the same result x

Rant away. There are plenty of people I hate without being able to properly explain why.

I know someone like this (without the bullying side).
DH calls her 'Tommy two shits'...
YANBU, people like that bore me senseless.
Haven't read your other thread but have been bullied at work myself. Thanks for you x
