AIBU?

to dismiss friend's suggestions that I'm about to drop down dead.

For the past month I've been going on most days to a class at the local gym - aerobics, bums and tums etc and I'm loving it - feel really alive and have lots more energy.

However on about three occasions I've had to go and sit down after about half an hour as I've felt perculiar, as though I'm about to faint. One time my hearing went strange as though my ears needed to pop. After a sit down for 5 minutes or so, I'm fine and continue.

I'm not overweight, fairly fit, not pregnant, don't smoke and make sure I eat an hour or so before the class (sandwich, pasta, cereal etc) but my friend says I'm showing symptoms of someone who might drop down dead at any time Hmm She's a bundle of joy

AIBU to just ignore her, or is there cause for concern?

Energy slump due to the sugar consumed beforehand? Just a guess

Don't eat cereal before exercise - it is the worst thing you can eat - it causes a sugar spike and particularly after exercise you can become a bit hypoglycaemic. Trembly, sweaty, woozy ...
Next time, before you exercise, eat something with slow release low GI like porridge or brown rice/pasta. And takes some glucose tabs with you so you can pop one if you feel that way again - or have a drink of apple or orange juice.

Look in more details on what triggers it...

Won't hurt to chat to a doc, but it's unlikely to be more than your body being slightly out of kilter as it gets fitter from the increased exercise.

I get it btw (a couple of identified triggers for me, very easy to manage I just avoid them, but I can trigger it very easily) It's completely different feeling to any sugar spike/crash during exercise which there's no way I'd be back normal after 5mins of resting.

For me, a couple of minutes squatting and I'm ready to continue again at high intensity.

My sister has had these symptoms and it was a problem with her heart. Don't wish to alarm you but didn't want to say nothing. Hopefully just a blood sugar/bp issue.
