Entertaining and she's clearly a bit of a laugh, but as for song choices?!! EEEEKKK run for the hills wifey!

urgg hate those cheesy dances, that would make me cringe

Report
Innogen · 08/02/2014 14:27

I'd be mortified if that was my wedding!

Any choreographed routine is a huge no no!

Peeeepl peeeepl....lighten up! Looks like a lot of fun to me!

Brilliant! I had a smile on my face all the way through - I know lots of people think this kind of thing is twee and cheesy but not me - loved it! Thinking I missed a trick at my own wedding now Grin

It's not the choreography that I'm not keen on, I think the dance is great!

But "unforgettable" and "I want you back" - does that not scream clingy mother to anyone else?!!!

cringe the first part was bad enough
"how the fire in you does things to me" he was dancing with his mum Envy Envy Envy

There's only room for one Alpha female in that family.
And the MIL has staked her claim at her son's wedding.

Poor bride.

if that is her son's wedding then NO! The attention should be on the bride. Poor bride....

Really sad...this was supposed to be light hearted, and yet paranoid conjecture has wormed its way in after fewer than ten posts...

Who'd be a mother to sons eh?

One more word and then I'm out...there may well be another couple of hours of video showing the bride strutting her stuff....
the bride seemed to be leading the applause....oh dear!

I'd be a mother of sons.

But I would never do that on their wedding day. It's just crass.

supadupapupascupa · 08/02/2014 14:51

The dancing is fab, really..... but if that is the wedding of her son then inappropriate....

CarolineKnappShappey · 08/02/2014 14:52

Of course she was leading the applause, how could she not?

I thought it was great! I'd have loved the new mr joules and my MIL to do that :)

Hoodathoughtit · 08/02/2014 14:53

Well I hope your future DiLs cut you a bit more slack than to be offended that the MiL sees the day as a cause for joyous celebration (which was how I read it) rather than thinking that she is attention grabbing (which I guess is how you see it)

Crass? Oh puleeeze!

That made me smile and smile.

Any son that can do that with his (cool) mother knows what it means to be in a family. It looks like they have a good relationship. Bride looked happy too.

Talk about upstaging the bride though! Bloody hell. I'd be gutted.

It was cool though. My ds would love me to do that.

And I fundamentally disagree with 'it's the brides day, all focus should be on her' and other princessy nonsense.

Weddings are about families coming together and celebrating love and cementing the future.

There were hundreds of little things that made me happy on my wedding day and swanning about in my white dress was only one of them. Dancing like a loon with my adoring husband and spilling red wine down it was much more fun.

I liked it. Intersting that there's little talk of all the interesting YouTube father and daughter dances upstaging the groom...

That was nauseating. My mil wanted my wedding day to be all about her though to the point that she took my wedding car so does'nt surprise me. I bet she is the mil from hell.

Only if you saw your MiL as the competition surely Hair. And why wouldn't your son be marrying a girl who is totally secure and happy and would be delighted to see you cutting shapes with him on your big day?

Strikes me as a shame that the bride & groom didn't dance to unforgettable & then mummy & son do do the crap dances to the other stuff.

I think that all staged dancing at weddings like that is naff though.

Could be that bride didn't want to & was happy for mil to show off her dancing.
