AIBU?

AIBU to only just discover mens PJs are more comfortable than womens

I have two sick DC and I'm pretty poorly myself, anyway all four pairs of my PJ bottoms are in the wash or drying so I've had to pinch a pair of DH's Next mens PJ bottoms.

They are heaven. Baggy, warm, long enough to keep my toes warm as well.

I'm just logging onto my Next account to have several pairs dispatched for ME - UR behaviour?

Every year I buy DP pyjama bottoms for Xmas, the running joke is that they'll be in my drawer by NYE as they are obviously made by Gods own tailor they are that comfy.
Not sure if I'd like them as much if I didn't pinch them off him though Smile

Men's clothes are always made out of nicer fabric full stop!! Currently loving my husband's rugby tops, and a men's brushed cotton shirt (its fackin freezing in this house!!)

Well I am now the owner of three pairs, albeit they are in transit to me but by tomorrow they'll be here.

Mens' socks are better too. The smallest size are slightly big on me, but they shrink to fit usually :)

YANBU at all! They are super comfy, long enough sleeves and trousers, and come in acceptable colours and without heart/teddy bear/fucking unicorn prints on them. DD is in boys' pyjamas, too.

ARE YOU LISTENING, PJ MAKERS?!?

Men's shorts are better too!

Men's T-Shirts here and espadrilles.

I like them too. The tops are long enough to tuck in properly so you don't get that gap between top and bottom.

I have been secretly doing this for years. I cannot stand girls PJ shorts. I like my shorts around my waist, not my hips (too cold). DH is sick of me pinching his all the time. Grin

Why are mens clothes better fit & quality? Because comfort & fit is taken into consideration whereas womens' clothing is concerned with exposure of legs & breasts.

because mens clothes are made to please men
whereas womens clothes are made to please men

But it isn't a conspiracy because the women do the buying.

I used to have a great pair of shorty pyjamas. Since they fell apart after years of wear I have not been able to find another comfortable pair - all the shorts seem to be hot pant style Hmm and end up wedged in my bum all night.

I hate nighties too (end up round my waist).

Am very Blush that I never thought of getting a mens pair! Have worn DH's once or twice but only in emergencies...

Will definitely be changing that this summer!

DPs pyjamas are much warmer than mine, I always pinch them in winter

No way is that true its definitely the other way round so much so my dh wears my bright pink monkey pj bottoms all the time. My onedie is way more comfy than his as well. There is nothing in the universe more comfortable than womens pjs.

DH's pajama bottoms are roomy and you can spread out in the bed in them without giving yourself a wedgy. I haven't bought myself a pair but worth considering.

He also has a jumper that I borrow to sloth around the house in. It's huge on me but made from heavy smooth wool that I guess must be part cotton. So comfy it's like a hug. I couldn't get a woman's jumper that feels like that on a million years.

Cause you can there are loads of womens jumpers like that. Wity womens pjs they put somethibg in to line them that makes you feel like you are being caressed by heaven. Its the girly materials they use I think, and womens slippers, and boots for going out in.

I always wear DP's t-shirts and pajama bottoms around the house. When I was younger and lived at home, I stole my dad's! I am seriously considering going to buy my own men's PJ pants, actually.

Wearing no clothes in bed - don't you get cold?

Report

TU at Sainsburys men's PJs are the softest brushed cotton, flattering strong tartan patterns, generously cut - and TWELVE POUNDS. That's the last Hush sale I bother with.

Report
yourlittlesecret · 30/01/2014 16:05

Perhaps the trouble is that you buy too small a size in women's PJs?
I like a nice long nightie myself.
