To be pissed off with DH even though it's his birthday

It is DH's birthday, he has decided to go out for the day, I'm absolutely fine with that. However he has taken my bank card with him, accidentally, I asked him to get some money out for DD yesterday and he forgot to give the card back. I've called and asked where he is so i can pick my card up and he said he's on his way back anyway, that was 2 and a half hours ago.

He's just text to say that it's ok, he's done the shopping, which really isn't that helpful as he doesn't know what I needed and seems completely baffled by the idea of healthy packed lunches, last time he said he'd got packed lunches for the week he'd bought chocolate bars, crisps, mini cans of coke and peanut butter because that was what DD had asked for Hmm

My husband left me in a small seaside town while he went sailing once and took my purse with him by accident.
He was gone 8 hours and I had nothing to eat or drink or anything - he also had the car keys!!!!
Even if it had been all his birthdays at once it didn't stop me from going batshit when he got back.
He didn't even have a phone signal - but he did have about 100 abusive messages once he was back in range. According to his shipmates he was terrified - I'm known for being slightly unreasonable when hungry.

My ex once went to work in the summer holidays (I'm a teacher and he wasn't) with my house keys by mistake (and his own too!) and double locked the door from the outside. It was about 90 degrees and I was stuck indoors. We did have a garden but it was tiny and shadeless. He was at work for 14 hrs and we had very little food in... I was considering getting a pizza delivery man to post bits of pizza through the letter box! Grin

My DH goes out to work at stupid o'clock in the morning, and locks the door behind him as I am still in bed. One morning as I went to leave I was mightily puzzled that my key wouldn't work, so I let myself out the back, battled with the gate and traipsed round the access path, to be greeted with DH's keys dangling there, in the outside of the lock.

I was not impressed (though grateful that they were still there and/or nobody let themselves in while I was sleeping, I live in a dodgy area!).

At least its not just my DH that is this daft then. he bought fruit shoots, sausage rolls, dairy lea triangles and fairy cakes this time which is an improvement at least, although I'm not sure why he can't just accept DD takes water to school. Ah well I've got carrots, cucumber and some apples so can do her lunch.
