AIBU?

WIBU to go back to bed AGAIN?

The day before I went on leave 2 weeks ago, I started a cold. It was a bad one and developed into a chest infection. I spent NYE and the next day in bed. I STILL feel crap despite being on anti-biotics for the 4th day now.

DS is bored or on the pc all day playing games. DH is mooching around or sleeping on and off. The weather is not helping. I feel like I should be feeling better, but I am not yet right.

I want to go back to bed but I feel like I should snap out of it seeing that there are many many more people in worse situations than I am in.

So, AIBU to wallow a bit and go back to bed? Or should I find that elusive grip??

Go back to bed! I'm on my third day off and I have a horrific cold. Can't sleep properly so I'm tired and bunged up and feeling crappy.

I'm in bed with my laptop, a box of tissues, meds and a massive bar of galaxy!

I find chest infections exhausting. I need more rest to get over a chest infection than I do to get over flu. Go back to bed, rest up, and get better. YWBU to miss the opportunity for rest!

The cold that is doing the rounds in my town is very impressive this year, I must say. Two weeks and I still feel shite.

Back to bed again with my aches and pains. Also having trouble sleeping, Livingetc, because I am so sore (ears, throat, glands, back, shoulders).

Sad

Yeah, I've had the sore back too, and the blocked nose, it's horrible :(

The other night I needed sleep so badly I took two "night" lemsip and some codeine just to zonk myself out. I may have to do the same tonight as I only had about 3 hours sleep last night.

YANBU. Your body is telling you to rest, so listen to it. You won't do yourself any favours trying to do more than you're ready for. Get loads of fluids down you and eat properly.

DP's mum has had a stinker of a cold, which turned into a chest infection. She's had one lot of antibiotics, which did help a bit, but she's still wheezy and sounds terrible. Whatever strain of cold virus has arrived round here, I think it can just bog off again. Having said that, I've evaded it so far

Definitely back to bed if you have the chance. In bed here with an ear and throat infection, with my 7 week old snuggled next to me.

Do feel a tad guilty about DH having to entertain 8 year old DSand 17mth old dd, but needs must.

I am so frustrated by this, though, because it is my entire 2 weeks' leave that is now gone under a pile of snotty tissues and empty lemsip sachets.
