That their bin blew over, and their rubbish is all over our front garden? They are ignorant lazy fuckers, and I'm fucked if I'm going to pick it all up, and we have visitors at the weekend. And yes, they must have damn well noticed.

Happy Xmas to all ( puts on humbug hat)

They may not have left the house and not be aware.

They probably haven't noticed and you sound delightful

ReluctantBeing · 27/12/2013 15:25

Yes, give them a knock and ask them to clear it.

Go and shit on their doorstep. You will feel so much better.

I suspect that this is one of a list of things, which is why the OP sounds so annoyed.

Didn't think of a shit on their doorstep. Good idea. Or post it through the letter box?

Just knock. Ours are blowing over several times a day. I pick stuff up when I see it, have secured as best I can but anyone thinking I'm going to spend my week off on bin watch can get fucked. Xmas Grin

Three wise, an ongoing list indeed. And they are much less delightful than me I can assure you.

I also have pita neighbours on one side. Well, actually, as people they are pleasant enough / polite but they just don't give much of a stuff about home maintenance / external tidiness and so their house quite often looks a bit ropey, so I feel your frustration OP.

Tbh, I just go and sort small things if I can because otherwise I sit and stew over them, it clearly bothers me more than it bothers them (these things are clearly not that high up on their list of priorities in my neighbours' case). Larger things (like bigger home repairs) just get my goat on a long term basis and I occasionally mention them in passing.

Yes, I am that neighbour.

I would want to know if stuff from my bin was all over someone else's garden. But then I hope I am a reasonably nice neighbour, and it sounds as if that isn't true of your neighbours, OP.

Used to, do you live the other side?Smile

And yes, I've picked up rubbish, brought bins in for them, etc, but this time I'm feeling grumpy. I have my own house to tidy, and picking up your own rubbish is bad enough, let alone someone else's.

Lol. Mine could be so much worse, they aren't noisy or otherwise troublesome and that's how I talk myself down when I'm having an off day with them.

dingit · 27/12/2013 16:00

Mine,

Noisy fucking dog, tick.
Noisy fucking parties, tick.
Inconsiderate parking, tick.

They aren't actually nasty people, they are polite and friendly. Just inconsiderate. Makes it harder to deal with, as I don't want to fall out with them, iyswim.

Are they actually in? I came home to our bin having moved today and haven't been here for a few days?

UsedToBeNDP · 27/12/2013 16:09

Oh ours park iffilly sometimes. Not on purpose, just pretty rubbish drivers (I'm no pro, myself).

Report
dingit · 27/12/2013 16:12

Yes they are in, and have picked up the bin Hmm I've sent a polite message, so will see what happens.

I have similar problem with my neighbor. Constantly picking up bits blown into our garden het the one time some stuff blew into their garden a big song and dance was made about me picking it up. Which I did as soon as I got home.

Did you put a note through their door?

I think you should have added a request for them to clear it up too.
