Write him a nice card and make an insert for 'dinner with us' or 'dinner for two' or similar in it.

Basically treat him to time

NinjaBunny Wed 25-Dec-13 20:48:23

Ooooo, yes!

A naice dinner somewhere could be good.

Does he like movies?

Sorry, posted too soon. I love walking and I love OS. maps. Their site is great, you can personalise the maps, so choose your midpoint and choose scale etc. you can get historic maps too.

Worth thinking about?

Does he have a nice flask?

blurryeyegirl Wed 25-Dec-13 20:59:52

Does he like cooking? Is he a coffee snob? What does he enjoy?

DoItTooBabyJesus Wed 25-Dec-13 21:00:31

Ice shoes?

I love a thread like this!

We fell into a National Geographic shop on holiday last month, amazing gift opportunities, some really cool stuff, give them a google?

DoItTooBabyJesus Wed 25-Dec-13 21:13:21

I think I saw that flask in water stones, randomly.

Shall I keep thinking?

Does he love his heat pad? fsmile

I meant DVDs rather than going out to movies it's too frigging expensive.

Loads of awesome films in the shops at the moment.

Has he watched Breaking Bad? Boxset? I know you say it's not his usual kind of thing, but he might surprise you..

Orrrrr as he likes his sci fi, how about a Battlestar Galactica box set?

pandarific Wed 25-Dec-13 22:06:56

Ooh ooh or Game of Thrones, if he's not seen it yet. Sci fi and fantasy has a bit of a crossover in fanbases.

This might sound a bit strange but I bought my Dad a remote control helicopter and he loves it. Like a big kid with it and my DDs can join in playing with it too.

Amazon do print out vouchers

Hubby and I prefer experiences to 'things'. We like to make memories. Hubby is hard to buy for as he too has everything. So for Christmas I've booked us a spa break. My SIL got us App Store vouchers and vouchers for a good restaurant.

Hand warmers to go in the gloves.

Lights that go in the bath.

Flower seeds/bulbs to plant.
