I am not feeling very Christmassy towards her to be honest.

Bah humbug!

Disclaimer: she is my neighbour and a 'friend'

Did she do it on purpose?

Do you live in eastenders?!

Vivi - yes, in a moment of madness we think (nothing against us personally, she is going through a really tough time and my house bore the brunt of it)

MrsDr - Nope. Just a normal house on a normal estate. Feels like it though!

Love It Janet.

No, not quite as bad as that, but in honesty, not actually that far off.....

Is the house badly damaged? If so is she going to pay for it?! What has she said to you about this?

I'm in shock!

And I'd want to do a lot worse than cross her off my Christmas card list!!

Did you have a bay window, and live down the road from a chip shop?

Or do you live in a totally different house and it's simply that multiple people have had cars drive into their house?

You are in shock MrsDr?? This happened in bloody June and it is still not fixed. Due to insurance screw up, the whole gable end of the house has to flipping come down now!

Wow.

Oh well, in the scheme of things, I'd rather be you with a hole in my house and a nice fat cheque from someone else's insurance to spend on a lovely new interior design job than her with a life so unpleasant she would be compelled to do something so crazy. Send her a card. Sounds like she needs it.

How about this one?

Will sending her a card make her feel more guilty?

x-post. That sounds like a headache. But still, rather be you than her.

I've seen OP's house. And the damage.
Yes to the bay window. No to down the road from a chippy.

Must be more common that you realise!

Different house Jessie

We are on a little private drive off an estate. Her drive faces our gable end. For some unbeknown reason, she decided to floor her car into the side of our house??

You're definitely a different person, then. Godlets, it shouldn't happen to more than one person!

Would you have written to her in prison?

Good God - was she attempting suicide?
