I asked where the iPad was, he lied and said it was in his office and then wouldn't let me stay while he 'looked' for it - he was obviously embarrassed that I'd caught him. Is it just me or is that disgusting??? I don't want it now. He says he wasn't using it, was just carrying it when he needed to go to the loo but wtf? Why not leave it in the office/the lounge/wherever he was using it? Yuk.

Crowler Thu 21-Nov-13 09:14:51

That's indeed gross. I would guess he probably won't do it again.

CocktailQueen Thu 21-Nov-13 09:16:11

Maybe not. grin

He never lies to me, so this was odd. Stupid thing to lie about too.

Minifingers Thu 21-Nov-13 09:17:12

Blimey, we all do it in our house.

We've all had our tablets for a year now doing this and I haven't noticed any increase in illness among the five of us.

Am I doing something dangerous?

No different to taking a magazine/book though. Providing he didn't use it after he'd wiped his bum I'm guessing there's no harm done.
I'd clean it before he gave it to me to use though...

YABU - I don't see what the problem is? What are you worried is going to happen? I assume he didn't actually intend to poo on the device itself and that he washed his hands after finishing his business before handling the iPad again? smile

Sometimes a person needs some entertainment if they anticipate being on the loo for some time.... grin

Minifingers Thu 21-Nov-13 09:18:06

Are you worried about your husband looking at porn in the loo, or is it just germs you're neurotic worried about?

FuckyNell Thu 21-Nov-13 09:18:11

He was flicking one off the wrist and not pooing is my guess grin

DawnOfTheDee Thu 21-Nov-13 09:18:25

Urgh. I'd never take an ipad into the loo. My kindle fire however....

AryaofhouseSnark Thu 21-Nov-13 09:18:45

I poo and mn on my phone, why is it disgusting ? I put it down to wipe, don't hold it in between wipes.
Am I going to have to name change ?

imofftolisdoonvarna Thu 21-Nov-13 09:22:10

We were you doing a poo as you wrote that post arya?!

I don't really see it as a big deal - surely it's not different to bringing a book/newspaper/magazine in there with you although adults who do this are quite strange IMO, especially when they leave them in there in a neat pile for guests to see

lottieandmia Thu 21-Nov-13 09:23:12

How long does it take to do a poo?! I've never understood people taking things into the loo but that's just me.

AryaofhouseSnark Thu 21-Nov-13 09:25:28

No, not at the moment imoff grin.

lookatmycameltoe Thu 21-Nov-13 09:26:02

I thought everyone MN'd whilst doing a poo. No?

We all carry our tablets into the loo. We don't wipe our bums on the cases though, we use toilet paper and wash our hands.

What are you frightened is going to happen? Bum germs are going to leap out of the toilet and stick to the screen? Then when you next lick the screen you will get bum germs in your mouth?

Have a word with yourself.

katrina81 Thu 21-Nov-13 09:26:49

What's wrong with taking it in there?

iseenodust Thu 21-Nov-13 09:28:58

Gross. It's like the never have the toothbrush near the toilet because of splash particles from the flush. Where do those who take phones etc into the bathroom put them when you flush? I bet plenty of blokes just put it on the cistern.

When i've done a poo i put the toilet seat down so the 'splash particlues' (which shall be henceforth known as 'bum germs') can't get out and stick to my toothbrush/tablet/etc. Why would you not put the seat down?

AryaofhouseSnark Thu 21-Nov-13 09:33:32

You get splashes from your flusher ? Is that a powerful flusher stealth boast ?
I put mine on the shelf above the toilet. No poo spores or flushy splashes there.

Crowler Thu 21-Nov-13 09:34:56

Powerful flusher stealth boast. LOL. Stop bragging already.

No flusher boasting.
