I find the idea of lots of things extraordinarily dull. So I don't do them.

This is no.21 in a series of 564,8929 of threads by moonie which she posts whilst waiting for the pasta water to boil, for dinner. I guarentee she will not be returning to this thread...Wink

This one sounded anything but dull. But I am really glad I missed it.

Who did go? I'm curious.

No yanbu. It's all a bit self-indulgent isn't it?

Report
Pan · 11/11/2013 19:15

I think some bloggers, and those interested in blogging went, BOF. Can't be entirely sure though.

BOF · 11/11/2013 19:26

I don't really see how it is self-indulgent. People want to learn how to make their blogs more readable, more visually appealing, increase their traffic, make a profit, get exposure, etc etc. Fair enough to get advice and share tips.

I wouldn't be interested, because I don't blog. I don't go fly-fishing either though, but I wouldn't start a thread to slag off anglers meeting up to pool their experiences.

Heh. Pool their experiences.

Yeah, you are quite right moondog, blogging should be banned and bloggers flogged to within an inch of their boring lives, that'll lean 'em to go boring the shite out of all the really interesting people.

And anyone who plays tennis should be battered to death with tennis rackets, boring game. Hmm

Poisonnally, I find people who post about how such and such is "boring" to be a bit lacking in the "interesting" dept themselves

Yeah, it was dull... as long as you don't enjoy watching intelligent women (and some men) debating issues that are relevant to all internet users, not just bloggers. It was boring watching a young female mp ripping a smug journo to bits. And I could have fallen asleep during the feminism debate if it wasn't for all the shouting. [Hmm]

Each to their own I guess. .. but dull was not the weird I'd use to describe it. ..

Stella Creasy (now girlcrush of 90% of MN Bloggers), taking on Toby Young, most famous for not really making it in New York...she was saying that Twitter users should be protected from abuse (death threats etc) by law, he was arguing some technicality that made no sense.

Stella won :D

Yay, I liked her anyway

Dunno who Toby Young is though. Kinda fitting Smile

I saw her on Question Time (I think it was) being very articulate about online bullying/threats
