I am talking about the newest song by the latest X factor monkey, I don't know his name.

At 3pm on the school run the LAST thing I want to hear is vulgar lyrics about cumming and sex.

I hate it.

Songs about sex are common. Some more obvious than others.

I used to listen to Liquid Dreams,Barbie Girl, 2 become 1, I wanna get freaky with you etc

Remember FIVESTAR, A-HA, Nik Kershaw, Bananarama, not a shit, bugger or up yer bum did you get from them! Showing my age but give me a Goss brother anyway, please, no really!

DwellsUndertheSink Thu 07-Nov-13 20:55:54

I always understood that Gorillas have very small penises. Just saying.....

Geckos48 Thu 07-Nov-13 20:56:07

Yes songs about sex are common, but songs about cumming and orgasms? Are they really that common out of the gansta wrap circles?

RoxanneReidsChafingFishnets Thu 07-Nov-13 20:56:57

I don't get the orgasm link. Maybe I'm just pure of mind

LillianGish Thu 07-Nov-13 21:00:11

I had a 10-year-old girl in my car on the school run singing along to something called Talk Dirty to Me - I asked her if she knew what the song was about - she had no idea of course. DS wondered if it was about swearing! That's why I'm usually tuned to Classic FM (we need an old fogey emotion!)

Geckos48 Thu 07-Nov-13 21:01:27

From those lyrics I've posted?

Am I really that filthy minded? That is clearly about orgasms, I can't see how it can be about anything else?

Fill up my cup > of tea?
Don't ever stop cumming > at me with a biscuit?
Get up on top > of this open topped bus?
I'll make you pop honey > annoy you in the morning?

I'm trying to make them not about orgasms but it's quite a stretch...

Geckos48 Thu 07-Nov-13 21:01:54

I love classic fm!

RoxanneReidsChafingFishnets Thu 07-Nov-13 21:02:34

Its not 'cumming' its 'coming'

If you don't like it then turn it off when comes on. There's worse out there

Valid point, Dwells. grin

Gecko - are gangsta wraps like the ones you get in m&s, but with, i dunno, guns & hoes in, instead of chicken & salad? wink

NoArmaniNoPunani Thu 07-Nov-13 21:03:28

You make me tremble when your hand moves lower, You taste a little then you swollow slower
You let me hold you for the first explosion

Diana Ross - chain reaction. If that's not about oral sex and orgasms then I'm a monkey's uncle.

Love the idea of Gangster wrap

Geckos48 Thu 07-Nov-13 21:04:01

Fried chicken with peri peri sauce = gangsta wrap!

Geckos48 Thu 07-Nov-13 21:04:57

Diana Ross!

That is definitely about oral sex!

BloominNora Thu 07-Nov-13 21:07:33

Yes, explicitly singing about coming in funky pop tunes hasn't at all been going on since 1983, no siree.

Although of course in 1983, they did get banned wink

WMittens Thu 07-Nov-13 21:08:47

Geckos48, you're absolutely right, we need more wholesome, innocent songs - "come back Khia, all is forgiven!"

NoArmaniNoPunani Thu 07-Nov-13 21:12:40

Pretty much all 'love songs' have filthy undertones. 'Come on baby light my fire' is a blatant request for his partner to do something more filthy than she's ever done before, might as well be singing 'come on baby lick my ring'

traininthedistance Thu 07-Nov-13 21:12:58

"cumming" is just a vernacular (mis)spelling of "coming" used as a metaphor for orgasm, they're the same thing. In the seventeenth century people used to call it "spending" amongst other things!

Drgonzosattorney Thu 07-Nov-13 21:21:59

There's no need to panic ladies, I for one am sticking with Classical FM. Also having deep reservations about radio 4! Dirty Wimmin talking filth!

LeBearPolar Thu 07-Nov-13 21:31:00

BloominNora - Wiki reckons it was 1984 that it was banned grin

"When you want to suck, do it..." - don't think the X Factor song is really doing anything new! These lyrics are thirty years old!

FreudiansSlipper Thu 07-Nov-13 21:37:38

Come Together
Right Now
Over Me

but then again BBC did ban this Beatles song

sex has always been in songs it makes the song more interesting if it makes you think what the song is really about

LeBearPolar Thu 07-Nov-13 21:44:22

You could always listen to DiVinyls I Touch Myself if you're tired of listening to men sing about sex...

NoArmaniNoPunani Thu 07-Nov-13 21:50:37

but then again BBC did ban this Beatles song

Wow, and yet Golden Brown, a song about the pleasures of jacking up heroin, was number one for weeks.

LatinForTelly Thu 07-Nov-13 22:02:53

What's possibly worse than hearing it on the radio is hearing a cover by a dadband at a village party.

Nice song, nice song, nice song ... Your sex is on fiiiiiiiiiiiirrrre

Just no from Jacinta-Brown-in-year-3's* dad. Grim.

LatinForTelly Thu 07-Nov-13 22:04:00

*forgot the asterisk. No JBs in our village, obvs

ILetHimKeep20Quid Thu 07-Nov-13 22:07:17

I never knew golden brown was about smack!

Or chain reaction! Just shows you that it all goes over your head.
