AIBU?

To think Mr Tumbles is quite possibly the most annoying man ever?

.... yet he seems to be on CBeebies constantly and plays countless characters all of them equally annoying and a little bit creepy. If I met him in real life I would have to fight the urge to give him a slap!

Yabu, that man is amazing.Im in awe of him.I cant find him annoying after reading stories of him lighting up the lives of children and children who rarely speak finding words just because hes there.I think hes great and i hope he stays on tv forever because i think hes someone kids can look up to.

YABU simply because without Mr Tumble we wouldn't have the extended Tumble family - Grandad Tumble, Lord Tumble and Cliff Tumble, one of the greatest comedy inventions of our time.

Agreed, don't get him at all. Just creepy and weird and I hate the way he says 'yeas' it's just yes you Muppet.

I agree, I find him so annoying, luckily my ds doesn't like him either and turns off the telly when he comes on.

Are you talking about Mr Tumble, who is only in Something Special, or Justin, who plays Mr Tumble and is also the main character in Gigglebiz?

Either way, YABU. My children loved Something Special and as it was/is on at 9.45 on a weekend morning, it meant my DH and I were guaranteed 15 minutes Special Time Wink.

It's the bleeding awful Gigglebiz characters I detest.

The tumble clan I can tolerate

YABU he is brilliant, if you don't like him then just turn the TV off but something special is a great resource for children who sign. Makaton & other signing resources are really quite expensive and you can actually learn loads, in a really child friendly format, from Mr tumble! It's really good to see signing on tv being normalised for children. He does speak slowly - some children need that. Good for you if yours don't. I love him!!

I don't mind him but hate the silly voice. They've changed the theme tune of something special and it's all about 'friends'. I hate hate hate the way he sings it.

Sounds like you are talking about Justin Fletcher rather than Mr Tumble.

Turn on something else for your children if you don't like him. Have no real interest in Gigglebiz myself.

But the Something Special programme with Mr Tumble makes a hugh difference to some children with special needs. It's very rare for them to see their own lives and children like them depicted on screen for a start. Instead of seeing children doing things they can't do.

It also brings signing into the mainstream.

And I think it makes a big difference in normalising disability for young children, who are hopefully growing up to be the generation which will have a far better and less predujiced view than our generation or those before us.

Certainly a lot of children we meet understand that my son signs " like Justin does"

I find the programme an incredibly positive development. And there aren't that many of those these days.

I don't find Mr Maker annoying but I agree with the comment about the Go Compare man. I'm not knocking Something Special I think its great to teach kids about diversity from a young age and my daughter loves it, but that doesn't change the fact I find Mr Tumbles incredibly annoying!

I think Justin Fletcher is one seriously, seriously talented man - no matter how irritating you find Mr Tumble!

What decaff said. My dd sits with avid attention learning the signs. She has a cousin who "has no words" so this is really important to us.
