Did anyone see those two men in the shop being interviewed. It was very entertaining and I am not sure how they kept a straight face as one proclaimed he thought it was a great way for middle age people to spice up their middle age sex life grin. I thought it might be a wind up TBH.

There were cakes? Right, I'll just find my car keys and coat and I am on my way

Bluetinkerbell Thu 26-Sep-13 20:24:17

Near us as well...
smile
What are they going to do with all those cakes now wink

Hedgehogparty Thu 26-Sep-13 20:04:00

Near me. The local paper are making this headline news.

£10 for the whole day with refreshments thrown in- bargain!

MiniTheMinx Thu 26-Sep-13 19:58:25

I'm good at whipping...up cakes

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme Thu 26-Sep-13 19:52:48

It was in our local paper. Apparently the groups booked it as 'relationship support groups'. The village hall people were not impressed when they found out and cancelled it.

They can come here if they like. grin

twistyfeet Thu 26-Sep-13 19:40:02

there would have been tea and cakes and everything too.

MiniTheMinx Thu 26-Sep-13 19:36:02

I expect they were concerned about insurance cover.

I wonder if this is part of the big society, tea and cakes followed by public floggings. I think its a great way to drag people away from the TV.

fuzzypicklehead Thu 26-Sep-13 19:27:45

Annoyed that they cancelled it, actually. I think it would have been great!

McNewPants2013 Thu 26-Sep-13 19:16:15

I see nothing wrong with the classes i would sign up as i find the BDSM lifestyle fascinating. Dont think i would ever be brave enough to do it.

jezzasjockstrap Thu 26-Sep-13 17:38:17

Trumpington's only about 10 miles from here
<grabs car keys. , fly swat and tatty copy of Herotica on way out>

PomBearWithAnOFRS Wed 25-Sep-13 23:58:05

Yes soorplum DH and I are "lifestyle" so to speak, although these days Real Life and Five Children tend to get in the way - it's hard to smack someone on the bum with the Woman's Weekly when the cry of "mammmmmmyyyyyy I've pooooooood" can come at any minute grin
(and Fifty Shades of Shite is exactly that, there are LOADS of better books out there, both erotica and BDSM/D/s stuff)

HopeS01 Wed 25-Sep-13 19:00:19

I would love to have some of these classes nearby blush

mrsduff Wed 25-Sep-13 18:31:31

My daughter has her ballet classes there! Can confirm the roof does look sturdy enough for pulleys smile

TheGashlycrumbTinies Wed 25-Sep-13 18:28:12

Will have to speak to friends about this, they live in Trumpington! shock

Binkyridesagain Wed 25-Sep-13 18:24:36

That roof looks like it's got some decent joists holding it up, would have been perfect for rigging some pulleys to demonstrate how to suspend someone safely.

ArtisanLentilWeaver Wed 25-Sep-13 18:19:25

Are you sure it isn't Bandage Classes? innocent face

angryangryyoungwoman Wed 25-Sep-13 18:12:52

Lol at high viz vest and cones

Dobbiesmum Wed 25-Sep-13 18:06:17

Bondage fear? Do they think that people are going to finish the workshop and run round the village randomly tying people up and spanking them?

macthecatsmum Wed 25-Sep-13 17:58:45

oooh this has given me a reight good laugh on a fuckin miserable wednesday. sounds like a tom sharpe novel only funny

TiggyD Wed 25-Sep-13 17:55:58

Good idea. People need to learn how to do it safely. I always wear a hi-viz jacket with all my usual PVC, and put cones around anybody being whipped.

LEMisdisappointed Wed 25-Sep-13 16:50:23

hmmm, im sensing a business opportunity..........trouble is though, i can never undo knots!

soorploom Wed 25-Sep-13 16:43:55

PomBear are you talking from experience?

I've never read 50 shades of.... but if its enough to get the gentle ladies of said village going then maybe I should look for a copy
grin

farewellfigure Wed 25-Sep-13 16:39:37

They can come and book our village hall if they like.
