I have been doing some really eggy ones this evening and have been wafting the smell towards me Also love a good "loud and proud"

Yep- mine are lovely. Anyone else's not so much. Glad it's not just me.

YANBU, I thought everyone secretly liked their own?!

And thanks for the laugh on a grey, drizzly morning! grin

That's gross sinful but funny

This appears to be one of those phenomena that is quite widespread but for which there is no generally-accepted explanation.

I love the smell of my farts, especially the cheesy/eggy ones that warm your cleft on exit, and if I've done one I will lower my head in order to get the concentrated smell before it dissipates. But only when I'm alone. I'm not weird.

YANBU, I'm a few weeks pg and today has been a gassy gassy day - I've warned DH, there's nothing I can do. I do the duvet thing, as well blush

I like to fart under the covers at night and waft it up, I consider it a successful fart if either the noise or the smell wakes the OH up ;D

She got revenge once by letting out a huge one when I was "down there". I could taste it in my mouth for ages while she just lay there cackling sad

Heinz curried beans + 7yo DS = disgusted proud mummy

He was bursting with methane pride, but even he agreed they were horrendous!

If alone in bed when I let rip I certainly waft the duvet towards my face. It's odd but I usually know when it a stinker. blush

Definitely had too much wine tonight. Wouldn't normally be sharing these sorts of things hic grin

No doubt my DH enjoyed his own fart at 3am last night, when I was stuck breastfeeding the baby and couldn't get up to open the window further. I nearly suffocated! Was breathing through my pyjama sleeve for ages.

Thanks Spottie. I am a little bit sad that I am not the only TrumpetTrousers though, hence the 1 on the end. Perhaps this other poster thinks the same as me.

I love it when I have farty bum and then I go into a house for a 30min call and come back and the car smells all farty and homely.

FreudiansSlipper Mon 23-Sep-13 21:44:44

how odd some people do not like the smell of their own farts

i like the smell of ds farts too but he is only 5 blush i am sure that shall change in time

TartyMcTart Mon 23-Sep-13 21:44:31

Well I can cope with my own but don't actively sniff them and smile! Unfortunately OH seems to think that I love his and frequently gives me a love burst or a dutch oven if we're in bed. Lovely!

phantomnamechanger Mon 23-Sep-13 21:44:28

thank goodness we don't have scratch and sniff screens!
