Added up what Im spending on cigarettes each week and it is nigh on £50 ,, what I could do with that extra money .

Are these e cigs any good ? The one's with liquid inside ? Im thinking of forking out for one and hope it helps me quit as that's an awful lot of money a week going out I feel .

Pop the end of the cartridge off with a bobby pin and refill with liquid (leave it upside down on kitchen paper for a bit!)

There a few youtube videos showing it.

Ooh thanks that'll save me even more flowers

Can I just add that you can't use the same cartridge forever Hopasholic because the atomiser within will eventually burn out. But you can re-fill it lots of times - maybe 20 times? yes a bobby pin will do it. Or a screw. Put the pointy bit of the screw in the hole, turn it til it "catches", then pull sharply and the whole white bit comes out. Pour in liquid to soak the cotton wool stuff inside. Push the white bit back in. Vape away!

P.S. The ones from Asda are exactly the same as Nicolite ones, but much cheaper.

I stopped smoking and have been using ecigs for over 3 years and I love it. I don't know anyone who has used them and then gone back to cigs. I'm very lucky where I am we have an abundance of 'ECig' shops that solely sell (5 shops within a mile radius and local newsagents that sell just the juice) ecigs and liquids. OP over the years I have tried them all and some are better than others and I wouldn't recommend the ones that look like cigs.

Boosterseat I used to use the tornado tank and quite frankly compared to the cartomisers and clearmisers they are rubbish. Try these from E-Smokeless they are 3 for £6.40 and far better than the TW atomisers to use, no faffing with the juice and so far I haven't had one that has completely failed (huge problem with the TT @ £10 a pop) and they will fit the TT battery. Better than TW Atomisers and cheaper!!

OP I recommend Mirage Cigarettes and E-smokeless

No worries there iwas I've got 100's of them flying around as I buy a box of 50 every few months.

I love my TT Forumdonkey i don't use the atomiser it came with, i bought a couple of "clear" purple ones from the website a few weeks ago but they don't seem to stock then when i looked today. It is very similar to the one you linked but much more expensive!

We have no shops at all locally that sell them, although the local market does on a Friday but I'm usually working.

Thanks for the link, I will give them a go! Much cheaper and I can still use my pink battery grin

you see more people vaping than smoking here grin

I started with cartridges & have now gone on to an ego battery & liquid.

I get my liquid from ecig wizard & I use a tobacco flavoured one called 'The Sherlock' (great name). I don't like any of the other flavours but then I don't like chocolate, coke or sweet thing in general.

It is coming up for a year since I stopped smoking & I had been smoking for nearly 40 years. I feel so much better & haven't put on weight.

I have the Tornado Ego-C and vape Menthol - Titan Fluid. I smoked menthol so it still feels like smoking to me.DP has a few flavours so I try them but I really like the menthol for now.

I find that the liquid lasts quite a long time which surprised me as when I had one of the fake cigarette types they ran out much faster.

magimedi Tue 24-Sep-13 17:45:08

Agree re fake cigs - they did not last for anytime.

I reckon I vape a 10mll bottle per week which costs me £4.99. Maybe a bit more if I'm being sociable & having wine.

Once you have bought the initial stuff I reckon it's going to cost you in the region of £25 - 30 per month if you were a 15 a day smoker. That is making an allowance for the replacement batteries ( their life is at least 6 months at that smoking rate) & new wicks, which are £1 each & last about 10 days or so.

A long thread on AIBU about e-cigs caught my eye and made me decide to check it out. I just got my kit today (an ego-style battery, a few of the juice resevoirs/atomizers, and a few samples of juices. I love it! It's really incredible. I have a nearly full pack of Marlboros and I don't want them at all.

I have found it's possible to vape discretely by covering any glowing bits and then holding your breath a few seconds to let the vapour condense before exhaling.

Great KatyTheCleaningLady smile Day One proper for me and had few vaps so far .. Didn't vap first thing though like I normally would a cigarette.
