I don't get bugged by it but wonder why some folk tend to get His and He's mixed up.Also weird is confusing advice and advise.

VikingLady Thu 05-Sep-13 20:35:11

Alot. It's two words, neither is long or complicated!

BellaTheGooseIsDead Thu 05-Sep-13 20:35:33

The letter "H" is pronounced, "Aitch".

Bizarrely, it is most often used by people who drop it in general speech. I wonder why this is?

Viking1 Thu 05-Sep-13 20:36:01

Viking, that is why kids are awesome.

I know people can struggle with grammar but surely they don't write somethink or everythink, so why say it?

mersea208 Fri 06-Sep-13 19:58:43

What annoys me is "awright?" when you pay for something at the till in a shop. No, it is not "awright" it is "good morning"/"sorry to keep you waiting"/ "good morning"/"good afternoon". Should this thread be in Pedants Corner?

Florabeebaby Fri 06-Sep-13 20:49:20
