So we have been on holiday in accommodation used by other family members. Earlier on in the week we went swimming. I put the washing machine on when i got back. (d)h had a moan because i put washing machine on. Think mil may have had a moan about electricity bill as i used tumble dryer last time but only guessing.
So after our last swim of holiday dh got back before me and put out towels to dry on balcony.
These towels were than put away for next ones down to use.
Aibu to think they should have been washed.
Now i know i should have said something but i couldn't face another arguument.
It has not been our best holiday ever but that would be another thread on two.
Aibu and too fussy.

Your DH put away used, unwashed towels for the next family members to use??

Eewwww! YANBU!

YANBU that they should be washed between guests but I wouldn't have washed them halfway through the week

YANBU! Gross.

If MIL is finding the electricity bill too much maybe she should ask anyone who stays there to chip in? I'm assuming it's her property what with her moaning about the bill.

That is revolting. How disgusting

If not liking the thought of drying your face with a towel previously used by another family member to dry their genetalia makes you a clean freak, then I'm a clean freak.

YANBU
I'm a total slattern when it comes to housework, but I would stick towels and bed clothes in to wash for the next family members in.

Clean towels at the end of the week would be normal...

YANBU. I only share towels with very immediate family e.g. husband and children.

Just found out we will be down next so i will be fishing towels out and washing them. Dh not coming with us.
Although yes maybe if we kept same towel we could reuse them but the floors at the pool aren't exactly clean hence why i washed them

Crikey - I'm usually a right slattern by MN standards, but not washing towels for the next guests is way below even my standards!

It's gross.

I am fairly lazy laid back about cleanliness but I would wash them before letting someone else use them. Just common courtesy apart from anything else, although I probably would have just dried them mid way through the week rather than washing them.

Ugh! YANBU. If your DH insists on doing that sort of thing, I strongly recommend throwing all your towels and replacing them with ones like THIS

Oh, that is revolting.

I find it really hard to believe you honestly think you might be a clean freak, or that your DH doesn't know that what he did was disgusting.

Didn't your holiday rental agreement include washing towels before you left?!

Clean towels - YANBU.

I'd be incline to give them a wash through halfway through the holiday as well, tbh.

I do this even when camping/caravaning - which means getting up early or setting aside an eve. to get to the site laundrette.

Lob MIL an extra tenner if you think she's a bit Hmm about family using her facilities 'too much'.

I read the title and was sure that you were going to be OTT but of course you should wash them- there is no question!
