To want to go ARRRRGGGHHH this morning

I CANNOT wait until the school holidays are over. It's only 10:55 and so far this morning we've had arguments, crying and pouts. If I hear one more "Mum, so and so did this" or "Mum so and so did that." 10 minutes after breakfast: "Mum I'm hungry!" "MUUUUUMMMMM"

Sorry rant over. I love my children to bits but today feels like Mum is taking over my own identity of who I actually am. (wants to go and hide away until the start of school).

Blueberry cream, may I, as a mother and grandmother, offer a few words of comfort? They are these: the first eighteen years are the worst ... (how do I post an 'emoticom'? Can't work out how to do it. Anyway, if I could, it would be 'wink' and 'big grin' faces).

It's true that the first 18 years are the worst. Mine are all mid to late teens and 20s now and are semi-civilised. A couple of them can even hold a conversation

Sometimes, I do look at them all and think I didn't do such a bad job and I survived. But there were times, when they were younger, when it was touch and go.
