Aibu to have had two user names on another site?

I was a member on another chat forum and after been banned a couple of times for "daring" to question moderation or heaven forbid to speak my true opinion, I decided to create two user names, one where I could chat about everyday mundane topics and not have other posters drag up all my more controversial opinions from other more heated threads. Anyway I was quiet outspoken on a thread recently and insisted that I considered parents who let their older children (who has no illness/special needs) have soothers, were guilty of lazy parenting. Not only did they ban my outspoken account but also my normal one.
To be honest the site is pretty crap but there were a few posters on there whom I liked and we had a few ongoing discussions which I miss.

Anyway Aibu to think my quiet persona should have been left alone?

Some posters called them "dodies" that caused things to become extremely heated.
Do Amy of you own a steam mop you could recommend? (Wink)

Why are you telling us what people posted on another site?

I couldn't care less tbh.

Am I meant to care weather you could or not usual suspect? I must have missed that memo!

It's always more fun over here caca

Mumsnet bans you from having a live account when another has been stopped from posting.
They just don't always communicate it clearly - and in my case took 2 years to notice my new account

Ebay is the only forum I know that has no limits at all on the number of IDs one can have

cacamilis Thu 01-Aug-13 17:41:54

Did they try and ban you when you were finally "outed" talkinpeace?

Frussohator it is more light hearted over here I have been dipping in and out for a while, I like the fast pace better.

I agree caca I came over on a piss take thread invasion about 3 years ago and never went back. grin

fluckered Thu 01-Aug-13 18:35:24

caca they are all pissed you "deleted" your thread without warning them! lol

cacamilis Thu 01-Aug-13 19:18:27

Oh lord, I asked the admin to delete my posts not the thread, I had a lot of personal info on that thread and didn't like it been left on without me having the option to delete.
Rc admins probably deleted the whole thread to get a buzz going, it's been dead on there this last while.
I loved that thread as did many others, a lovely bunch posted on it, now it's gone I def will not be looking back.

fluckered Thu 01-Aug-13 20:05:58

caca if you started that thread then if you asked them to remove your posts the thread would go too.

Rollercoaster is one big fluffy hun-fest. Any opinion other than "u no ur bubz hun lol" will get you banned.

cacamilis Thu 01-Aug-13 21:36:09

I did stipulate to only remove my post not the thread. never mind some saddo has seen fit to enlighten them that I threw a hissy fit and demanded the thread to be removed. Sure why let the truth get in the way of a good story.grin grin

cacamilis Thu 01-Aug-13 21:51:08

lol, how much time did you put into thinking up that reply?
Your indignation made me laugh thanksgrin

Talkinpeace Thu 01-Aug-13 22:33:51

I was not outed
I emailed MNHQ to ask if I could use my real name (having been stuck with the "2" for a couple of years)
and I've never made any bones about TiP being my alter ego
after a bit of shenanegins TiP2 was closed (could do with having the pics deleted MNHQ) and I got my lovely TiP name back
