It makes me worse in the car (no air-con).
I think a lot of people get hot and bothered. I have no patience because I hate the heat!
Some people love it though so it goes both ways

YANBU.

It also causes so many other problems that I've decided to start doing some charity fundraising for the cause 'Down with the Sun'. I plan on plastering it all over my FB and demand my friends donate.

We just have Big Scary Sweary Teens with water pistols having fights in the park. They are scareeeeeeee.

And I really hate seeing blokes in the supermarket wearing flippin swimming trunks and deck shoes. This is Notting Bleedin' Hill, not St Tropez. If I wanted to look at hairy sweaty armpits, I'd check my own out, thank you very much.

I love the weather - I'm in my element.

I'll fuck off now though, because you probably don't want to hear that Grin

Absolutely, I lose the ability to think entirely clearly and snap my way to the shade. I don't like hot holidays either, 24-26 degrees is plenty for me. DH has also been snappier than usual, the hour's train commute from London is a bit much in this heat. Ugh.

DD1 has been grumpy all afternoon including mother of all tantrums. At pne point she was shouting "Help, I'm locked in the kitchen" (she wasn't). Doors and windows open so expect a thread soon about I think my neighbour locks her child in. At another point she was shouting " Father, father! "

I am grumpy too so bedtime is starting Now.

Hell yes!

I'd joyfully break something if I could be arsed to get up.

I work in an environment where I often have two people talk to me at the same time. I deal with it because it's my job.

After work I went to collect DC form after school club, and a member of staff and DS talked to me at the same time. They were both oblivious to what they were doing and expected an answer. Normally it wouldn't bother me. Today I nearly imploded.

And then on the way home DD fussed in the over hot car. I imagined myself being one of those parents who pulled over, got their DC out of the car and smack their bottom.

I don't usually have crazed ideas in my head, honestly!

She was fussing about something her teacher hasn't done. In the heat, I have managed to build up a feeling of hatred for her teacher.

This weather makes me happy! We don't get enough of it in the UK. I'm on London so its really hot, the only thing i hate is not living by the sea.

I've just realised I sound completely deranged, rather than bad tempered.

Now, if I owned a swimming pool and had a house keeper, I would be all sweetness and light.

We've had no hot water for 10 days. Plumber has been out 5 times and it's still not fixed. And each fucking time he says, ooh, lucky it's not winter.

No it fucking isn't. In winter you don't need a shower twice a day. I've got hot, sweaty, grubby children who won't have cold water near them and I've got no aircon in the car because that's fucked too.

I couldn't be any more fucking pissed off.

Parmarella · 17/07/2013 18:24

Gwendoline, communal swimming pools? That s where we shower when no hot water ( stupid rayburn)
