I have 3 cats and would be devastated.

I saw a video on facebook where two blokes poured petrol on a small cat and lit it on fire and taped it running about all over on fire.... I reported it but it 'didn't violate community standards' Made me sick.

Sadly its very rare for an animal cruelty cases to be pursued and prosecuted. I worked in animal welfare for a number of years and saw some horrible things. I only ever saw one conviction.

Unfortunately, many serial murderers start with killing cats or other small animals. The American Columbine killers and the young man at Newtown were known to have hurt cats.

I don't understand why there isn't harsher punishment for this sort of crime. This cat may not be human, but it still felt pain and fear. This sick twisted bastard didn't even just kill a cat, he beat it to death then messed about with its body. How much more evidence do you need that he is a sadistic bastard? Lots of people take that sort of gas and their mind doesn't jump to doing this, there is something really wrong with that man.
