I am being unreasonable for letting that woman give me the rage, I know that.

I'm deliberately not linking to the Daily Fail as that I presume is the whole point of this troll.

But AIBU for fantasising about flushing that woman's head repeatedly down a stinky lav?

ChocsAwayInMyGob Fri 12-Jul-13 22:32:31

xylem8- That's what I've always thought about Liz Jones and other professional trolls. They write incendiary stuff to attract traffic. Traffic equals ad revenue. No publicity is bad publicity.

So much for KH's business sense if this is the best way she can make money.

xylem8 Fri 12-Jul-13 16:42:40

I suspect her brief is to bring in as much traffic as possible to the site and this is what she is doing
Is she stupid? No
Is she an amoral guttersnipe? Yes!!!

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 16:40:07

slug that actually doesn't sound dissimilar to my hair 'cept I've just had it cut to shoulder length as unmanageable with two smallies!

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 16:38:28

ghostsgowooh both times I've been pregnant friends have 'joked' about whether I'm going to have a ginger baby, as though it would be a terrible thing!

Ghostsgowoooh Fri 12-Jul-13 16:34:31

I'm another one who would have been really happy to have a child born with red hair. Sadly none have even though ds had reddish tints.

My gran had lovely copper coloured hair and my ex family are ginger, he isnt but he has dark hair and a ginger beard! Our two girls are blonde.

Why does red hair have such negative connotations. My friend said she would just be devastated if she had a red haired baby. Stupid cow.

pigletmania Fri 12-Jul-13 16:29:15

That's what I is, op drivel

slug Fri 12-Jul-13 16:28:03

Waist length, thick, waves gently into loose ringlets at the end and the most glorious shade of red. <<sigh>>

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 16:13:08

No Slug, but now I'm going to have to so I can see this other person's hair!

slug Fri 12-Jul-13 12:36:38

Slight aside, but giddywithglee, you don't commute through Charing Cross around 8:20 every morning do you? If you do then your's is the hair I have wanted all my life.

Lweji Fri 12-Jul-13 10:24:49

Whatever she says, I think most people will do the opposite now.

ShoeWhore Fri 12-Jul-13 10:21:50

Stupid cow.

My redheads are very loveable thank you very much. I suspect KH is much much harder to love.

HildaOgden Fri 12-Jul-13 10:14:27

I think it is awful how KH has opened the doors for her own children to be judged, slated and ostracised.By opening slagging off other children for everything from their hair colour to their names, and then by publicly displaying their photos and ruining any privacy they had.

I don't care whether she holds politically incorrect views or not, really. If that is her opinion,so be it.I do think it's bloody shitty parenting for her to put her own kids in the line of fire,so to speak.

Even on this thread, there are people criticising her kids features.Jesus, that's nasty. And it will be said to her children in their classrooms too, have no doubt about that.sad

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 09:51:22

napacab grin just spat my coffee out laughing!

Both my littlies have dark hair like my DH and I have to admit I'm relived because I don't want the bullies to have any fodder. I STILL (and I'm 36) get people shouting 'ginger' at me in the street. I always shout back 'wow, aren't you observant!'.

My hair isn't actually GINGER. It is dark red. My hairdresser recently told me that it is the most beautiful hair he has ever seen in his life and if I ever ask him to colour it he will refuse (he's not a dodgy perve in his 60s, by the way, but a rather cool 20-something who has won awards and tours with Redken).

Thanks * Alisvolatpropiis* that is interesting. It looks like is is considered a disability in the UK because of sight problems associated with it. In the USA and other places there seems to be ambiguity about whether or not it is a disability.

Aside from that there are lots of things that are not a disability but which people can be bullied for.

Re red headed people I am very glad the attitude is changing.

However, if the equality commission really do not record hate crimes against red headed people I think it is wrong. It would also make it harder to know whether views are changing if statistics for bullying on these grounds are not recorded.

Alisvolatpropiis Fri 12-Jul-13 00:10:39

I believe albinism is classed as disability. Being a red head is not. There are no associated health issues with the latter.

I think the anti red head attitude is very much a British attitude. Who knows where it stemmed from?! It was once suggested to me it might be to do with the Celts and Romans as sterotypically the Celts were red headed. It's such an odd thing.

But in the current age in which we all embrace being individual the attitude towards red heads is changing.

Italiangreyhound Thu 11-Jul-13 23:46:17

Why don't we all write to the equalities commission and ask them why red hair is not included in anti-discrimination legislation. Genes in our bodies produce our eye, hair and skin colour, we have no control over it.

I know globally people with albinism is very persecuted and I am really so sorry to hear that people with ginger hair are bullied/persecuted/treated differently because of their hair in this country.

If Katie Hopkins made those comments about babies of a different ethnicity she would not be receiving the publicity for it in this way (IMHO).

congresstart Thu 11-Jul-13 20:47:01

Shes a desperado for attention....shes a first class assclown.

Alisvolatpropiis Thu 11-Jul-13 20:21:58

I find her hilarious. She's just so outrageously unpleasant it's laughable.

For what it's worth I think the attitude towards red heads (which most of the rest of the world finds utterly bizarre) is changing.

I think red heads are very attractive. It's so unusual. I only inherited the complexion from my red headed mum sad I have high hopes of it skipping a generation and having red headed children though smile

=no money

"Agree there should be a MN campaign against the Meeja Hoors . Any time Jiz Loans, Katie and the like say something stupid and designed to upset, for clicks, we should quietly ignore or post a code word eg "meh" or something more random like "hatstand" on any thread that crops up and someone can politely tell the innocent OP why in a PM."

OP I'm totally behind you on this one. Every comment feeds her ego, but more importantly it gives her leverage to peddle another vile diatribe to the DM. No attention=no articles=money

NapaCab Thu 11-Jul-13 20:06:55

She has a point though. Some people are harder to love than others.

I think ignorant blonde horse-faced loudmouths are harder to love, for example. If you've been starved of love all your life for being an ignorant blonde horse-faced loudmouth, chronic attention-seeking would be the result.

ChocsAwayInMyGob Thu 11-Jul-13 19:06:33

I was a ginger baby, and my DH really fancies "Gingers" and feels he is very lucky to have "got one". He loves me something daft.

raisah Thu 11-Jul-13 18:14:57

One of her kids will settle down with a redhead & give birth to her ginger grandchildren.

Scrounger Thu 11-Jul-13 17:14:26

My DH is ginger, people tried to take the piss out of him at school, he developed a very sharp tongue. Our children have a mix of both our colours, darkish with fantastic ginger highlights.

I think it is unfair and very bad taste to bring her children into it.

Having said that, if I was her child entering my rebellious teenage years there will be sooo many things that I would be able to do. Starting with seeing a ginger boy called Tyler. Just think of the fun you could have.

CrapBag Thu 11-Jul-13 16:40:28

encyclogirl that's the reason that I did worry about having redhaired children actually. DH said he put up with loads of crap about his hair. I do worry about the same for DD, who is stunning and I do get a lot of comments, but kids are always different and will pick on something. I just hope that it isn't as common these days as it was years ago but then fucking dicks like Katie Hopkins come along and its like it was 20/30 years ago all over again.
