Taking bets on what time my "D"P will be home tonight

(33 Posts)

Form an orderly queue people! He told me he would be home at 8pm, what time do you actually think he will be back?

Disclaimer: I have no problem with him going out till 8pm or whatever time he wants but it PISSES ME OFF when he gives me a time, says he does want his tea and then doesn't turn up. Just don't give me a time and tell me to get my own tea then I wouldn't get so mad! It's not that hard!

Wahey! preens self

(I'm doing okay, thanks. Working through it. I'll update the thread when I feel a bit braver)

Since you've been cutting down on money for food he'll have more beer and taxi tokens. 2 at the earliest.

And Caja gets it! I got watching the tennis, sorry!!!

MammaTJ Fri 05-Jul-13 21:42:16

11.15. What do I get for being right? grin

BriansBrain Fri 05-Jul-13 21:17:55

Mine has said 10pm and called at 8.30 saying he will still be home at 10pm (called to say hi to DD who has just got home from a week away)

I also always add 3 hours and as long as I don't have to have anything to do with him until tomorrow I don't care!

nancerama Fri 05-Jul-13 21:16:00

10am tomorrow morning.

grobagsforever Fri 05-Jul-13 21:13:57

I take 10.37.

FeegleFion Fri 05-Jul-13 20:56:23

Maybe he's back and the OP is busy

pianodoodle Fri 05-Jul-13 20:52:33

11pm? Unless he falls asleep on the bus like mine did in which case 2am sad

Had the nerve to phone once saying he was on his way to the station. I assume then he was in a taxi playing a CD called "pub background noise No.3"?

Prozacbear Fri 05-Jul-13 20:31:33

I'll go 10.30. My DP would still think that was somehow acceptable and he's the same breed.

As long as he's not lying in a ditch don't worry. Pour yourself a large glass, watch the tennis and enjoy. My kitchen shuts at 6..

Whocansay Fri 05-Jul-13 20:26:42

3am. You'll find him asleep in the hallway in the morning.

If he's going to be in trouble, he may as well be hung for a sheep than a lamb!

fluffyraggies Fri 05-Jul-13 20:25:34

Well he's missed 8pm anyway ......

2am with a kebab half eaten and stinking of booze.

StuntGirl Fri 05-Jul-13 20:18:13

Can't you just stick the food in the oven and he can reheat it when he eventually gets back?

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks Fri 05-Jul-13 20:08:51

Ah now, with my "D"H I have to add 3 hours to his estimated time of arrival... every single day. It infuriates me!

So I would guess at 11pm!

MaureenMLove Fri 05-Jul-13 20:04:51

See, this is why long, long ago, I made a rule. Friday night the kitchen shuts at 5pm. It's my weekend too and if you want something, you do it yourself. grin

I too am playing the 'what time' game. I'm hoping its after it gets dark, then I can be in bed before he gets back! grin

We have food in and trying to cut back on how much we spend on eating out/take out.

You sound like you speak from experience Caja! Btw, hope you're OK, I was following your thread on sleeping outside.

CajaDeLaMemoria Fri 05-Jul-13 19:59:23

And then he'll maintain that your clock is an hour fast, and that he left on time.

WorraLiberty Fri 05-Jul-13 19:59:13

Why didn't you tell him to stick something in the microwave or grab a takeaway on the way home?

jollyjester Fri 05-Jul-13 19:58:41

After 10 years I have a formula regarding DH time keeping!
Take whatever figure he gives and times it by 3! It always works!

he might surprise you and actually be home at 8. smile
