Basically I was looking at a clinic online and wanted to book a consultation with a dermatologist.

It said book online so I thought great I'll do that now and added my mobile number, and then I got a message saying they would call me within 15 minutes. I hadn't realised that would happen and I'm not allowed to use my mobile phone at work.

As I leave work I check my phone and have 3 missed call from them and a voicemail and I've just checked my email and have one from them saying sorry they were unable to reach me on the phone but will try again tomorrow.

Aibu to think this is a quite pushy?

Yes. Very.

Would absolutely put me off.

Sorry. YANBU. Its very pushy.

That is oddly pushy, YANBU.

Definitely pushy. That would put me right off. I would either block their number if that's possible, or else take the call and tell them that calling you three times and emailing you has put you off using them.

Maybe when people book online they need to phone back to ask more about it so you get the best dermatologist for your needs. I suppose as you had already booked you are definitely wanting their service, so they aren't bugging you when you aren't interested. One call and an email would have been enough though.

True HibiscusIsland

I think one call and a voicemail would be fine. All I did was fill in my name, number, which clinic I would prefer and what treatment was I looking at.

No specific time, date or even place has been booked.

I refuse to gibe my mobile number on the basis that I work nights and my DC may need me. Was there not that option?

Someone I know of always puts in a made up landline number for those types of forms, just wish it wasn't mine.

Can't stand pushy salespeople so yanbu, they would be getting a phone call to say no longer interested for that many contacts.

I looked into doing a personal training qualification with a national training company.

They kept calling me and calling me, and when I didn't phone back the day after one call to confirm whether or not I wanted to book on the first part of the course, the woman sent me an email saying she hoped I was ok and they were worried as I hadn't called back

Weird!
