All I want to do is make fooking chocolate cornflake cakes. And some how DD totally my fault has burnt the chocolate.

Why do we do this every time??

So Aibu to just give it all up and make a pissing fruit flan

I shove it in microwave and nuke it for a bit. Then stir and its done.

Burnt chocolate tastes nice though to me Blush

I'm wondering if I roll it into balls and cover it in icing sugar could I pass it off as chocolate snow balls?

It is to take to DD's friends for pudding though...

You can salvage it by adding a bit of milk then stirring it over heat (only thing I learnt in home ec!).

Don't use chocolate.
Melt half pack butter
Two tablespoons golden syrup.
One tablespoon cocoa
1I pack marshmallows
Melt all together in a large pan
Add cereal
Spread out on a large rectangle tray lined with grease proof
Put in the fridge for a hour

Best ones you will ever eat Grin

Do peppermint creams instead,

Mix icing sugar with water

Add food favouring and/or add food colouring.

Roll into balls press flat, use fork prongs to mark half the sweet

Throw in fridge, jobs done.

Right I couldn't rescuse the first attempt as it was half scoffed by DD while I was in the study. Cheeky mare!

Attempt two went to shit in the microwave as well. I swear its the golden syrup as all was fecking peachy before I squirted it in. The milk trick - amazing!! I have never heard about that before!

DD is now licking the table to collect any flakes which jumped out of the cases.

What setting do you put the micro on? I put it on defrost for a few minutes at a time, then mix the chocolate up and put it back in for another few mimuntes on defrost until it's all melted. It shouldn't burn on defrost.

Also - don't try to melt too much in one go, make a small batch to start off with.
