Going twycross for DS 3rd birthday next week.

under 3's are £1
3-16 is £10.45 so its a big jump

don't suppose he could then wear a badge saying 'i am 3'

This may be interesting tho, it seems to split views on mnet...

What time of day was he born? If it was six p.m., then he is not three til then.

Cheaper price, providing you can stop him from telling everyone in sight that he is 3!

good point, he was actually born at 10 to 8 at night and we'll be left well before then so he will technically still be 2!

Of you like stealing, go ahead. Why would you lie?

Well there you go then, technically he will still be two!

Seriously op I am sure you will be going again in the future where you will have to pay the full price but you can get away with it this time :)

Oh come on! The adults will be paying full price anyway, plus they'll prob be buying drinks & stuff whilst they're there. I don't think the zoo will be out of pocket.

You do know he will announce loudly 'its my birthday I'm 3' in that special loud voice they have, right as you,re buying/ showing the ticket, don't you.

I did this when we went to the zoo last summer Blush

I feel really really naughty about it, but it would have bumped costs up so much none of us could go. We probably spent the amount of the tickets in the gift shop and restaurant though, so it probably balanced itself out a bit...

My dd is 15 not 16 tomorrow as it saves me £28.

smellslikecatspee> I would be very suprised if he did that (although it would typically happen when i didn't want it too) He generally tells people he is 6 or 7 which i can get away with as he looks no where near that or just talks completely off topic but thats another story....

Of course you should do it.
I did this too when ds was little.

When we did this to get into legoland I had dd in a sling and put ds4 in the pushchair, took his shoes off and gave him his 'daddy' blanket as he would then be likely to suck his thumb..

I just asked for four adults and three children as went through ticket bit. They didn't ask me the ages of the little two, dd obviously under three and ds4 was 3 but down in the pushchair the person processing the tickets paid no attention/assumed he was under three and I didn't correct them.

is obviously going to hell as I have done this whenever I have a child who is just at the cut off for paying

Well, I tried to do this once but DS1 was 3 and a half..
However I bottled it and told the man on the desk his real age. He winked and said, "Surely he's only two, go on, in you go!" and let him in for free.

But I agree with the majority, he won't really be 3 until evening anyway! Dooo iiiit!! Grin

YANBU
That's a huge jump. Turn it into gift shop birthday present buying money if you feel guilty,

Tigresswoods · 10/05/2013 22:45

YANBU we did this too. For a few months actually. Naughty.

Yanbu. We got in loads of free entries when dd was a toddler. She's also quite petite so looks younger than she is. Even better. It's not like they check your passports and doctors records!

Hell of a jump from £1 to £10+ .

Do they look more after 3?

Grin at stealing. Slippery slope OP. You'll be a crack-whore by the end of the week at this rate.
