I've just got back from Sainsburys, which was really busy. I don't think I was BU, but I wanted to see what other people thought.
I had a very full basket and was pushing a double buggy. I went to queue up and was standing in the queue for a few minutes when I noticed that the next check out along was opening. I moved over to that check out and put my basket on the end to start unloading. As I did, a man with a basket put his down on the conveyer belt in front of me and started unloading - basically jumping the queue. He only had about five things so I didn't say anything.
As I was unloading on the conveyer belt the man in front then called out to another man with a basket "come and put your things here" and indicated to the spot on the conveyer belt in between my things and his (I was going to put the heavy stuff at the bottom of my basket there which is why I didn't fill it up).
I must have looked a bit taken aback because he turned to me and said he only has a few things (which was true, he had about five, but I only had about ten!). I then said I thought he should have asked me first since it meant going ahead of me in the queue. The man in front of me then said that it was fine because the second man had been ahead of him in their previous queue. I asked why he didn't let him go in front of him then and said he was a bit rude. He the called me a rude woman and said I didn't want to make him angry. We had a few more words and he then paid and left.
Anyway, sorry this is a bit long. It's just I've never had a row in a supermarket before. Was I BU to protest?
